Eating Local, Organic, In Season
The more one eats locally grown foods versus those shipped over long distances, the less fossil fuels are used as jet fuel and diesel for trains and trucks in getting the food to market.
Organic farming done by giant agribusinesses doesn't guarantee that huge diesel tractors and harvesters weren't used in the farming process either.
Local, organic foods have higher nutritional values, because shipping (time) and refrigeration, etc., and the quality of the soil and water has everything to do with nutritional quality. It also has more flavor, all other things being equal. It takes less packaging to ship (less cushioning, less protective packaging). It can be tree or vine ripened longer.
Eating foods in season also helps keep down the pollution and global warming caused by shipping foods grown around the world so people can eat things out of season and things that cannot be grown locally outdoors due to climate.
Of course and as we've mentioned previously, the less farmland goes to feeding animals destined for human and animal consumption the better.
The way things are right now, many people just can't afford to pick where their food comes from. The Real Liberal Christian Church is all about changing that. One day, all food will be free just as God intended and just as it once was before hearts turned wicked and greedy.
Russia: No Right Peaceably to Assemble
It is a shame that people in Russia were beaten and arrested by the police in St. Petersburg yesterday, Saturday, March 3, 2007, for expressing their political concerns. People shouldn't be required to get "authorization" to protest and march. They were denied that authorization. The government should be acknowledged as deriving from the freely exercised consent of a fully informed people. The government should be of, by, and for the people.
Of course, this applies in the US as well. Peaceful protesters have often been denied the right to gather without being subjected to police harassment, abuse, and unlawful arrest and detention. The US too should be ashamed of itself in these instances.
Walter Reed: What Do They Expect?
People were shocked by what they've been told about the conditions at Walter Reed, the military's medical facility. Along with the Naval Medical Center at Bethesda, Maryland, Walter Reed is among the most familiar names in the US military medical system. Recent reports tell of terrible conditions for the wounded. Why the shock though?
Oh, it isn't surprising that people are shocked, because it isn't surprising how constantly tricked by the military the people are.
The people have no business expecting the military to take care of people. People who train to use deadly force on others upon the say-so of greedy imperialists ought not to be expected to have the kind of compassion people seem to expect at Walter Reed.
Look, if you don't like what was happening at Walter Reed, the answer is demilitarization. It's that simple.
Wesley Clark said to Amy Goodman the other day in an interview she did with him that force is required right now by the US. He's dead wrong, and we mean "spiritually dead" wrong. He hasn't repented.
What the US and the world need to do is to get out of the "force" business. "Study war no more" is how Isaiah put it. That's heaven. Clark may thinks he'd take better care, and he probably would do a better job than George W. Bush (that's not saying much); however, the kind of force Clark is talking about, whether he intends it or not, is the US still being the world police, forcing the worldly Empire upon everyone else. They've called it "making the world safe for democracy." However, what it really means is making the world safe for the greedy and the violent and the sexually depraved.
There was a time when such officers were called "peace officers." When is the last time you heard that? The mentality was that of keeping the peace. Now we read about US Marine pilots in Iraq nearly orgasmic over killing people (loving it). Support that: Never! We damn that to hell.
That's what any force leads to though. It migrates from peace officer and peace keeper to savage beast warrior and weapons of mass destruction unleashed. The lesson is that people don't stay just a little evil. Evil corrupts progressively. Things just continue getting darker and darker. Only the light of this truth can reverse it. That light is the call to overcome all corruption, not just some. It is righteousness or nothing. That's the only way to "own" the universe (sharing it fairly and honestly in godliness).

Ann Coulter Says "Faggot"
On Friday, March 2, 2007, Ann Coulter used the term faggot in reference to John Edwards while she was speaking to the 34th Conservative Political Action Conference. It hit the headlines. The news stories are full of Democrats and Republicans rebuking her for bigotry, etc.
Well, Ann Coulter is certainly a false conservative and no Christian, despite her claims to the contrary; however, homosexuality will forever be a sin.
Coulter is just drumming up attention so she can sell more books and such. She isn't a serious person. She turned right around as reported by CNN as follows:
"I do want to point out one thing that has been driving me crazy with the media — how they keep describing Mitt Romney's position as being pro-gays, and that's going to upset the right wingers," she said. "Well, you know, screw you! I'm not anti-gay. We're against gay marriage. I don't want gays to be discriminated against."
She added, "I don't know why all gays aren't Republican. I think we have the pro-gay positions, which is anti-crime and for tax cuts. Gays make a lot of money and they're victims of crime. No, they are! They should be with us."
Ms. Coulter doesn't understand the term discrimination. She treats homosexuals as a category who should not be allowed to marry under the mundane law. That's discrimination.
The real Christian position is that we can't use coercion against homosexuals. That's God's prerogative. God, and not man, cuts away the dead and rotten branches that do not bring forth only good fruit. We though discern nothing good comes from homosexuality. We do though not judge and condemn. We warn, as we have been warned, to make the whole tree good.
This is spiritual Darwinism. The fittest are the most righteous.
We can't defend Ann Coulter or every last one of those who rebuke her. Most of them are also in error.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Shrunken Hippocampus, and Cortisol
For years we've been saying that selfishness manifests harm in the matter that is brain tissue. The scientists are still saying that this may be true. They aren't yet saying that it is definite.1 We know better. It is definite. They are also trying to say that only certain "extreme" stress is harmful in this way. That's not true. All stress is damaging.
Look, being born into heaven would be stress free from the beginning and on into eternity. There would be no harmful results.
The scientists also don't know yet that a smaller hippocampus and the following anxiety and depression are the result of selfishness directed at the child (abuse). Anyone born with a relatively smaller hippocampus is still born that way as a result of the spirit of selfishness.
You see, they are slow on this because of the implications. To stop the problem and to cure the problem requires the opposite of abuse, which is the opposite of selfishness, which is the opposite of capitalism. Think about it. It's true.
If the Chinese government is in earnest about curing corruption and unbridled greed and about curing the social ills of imbalances in educational opportunities and health care and about curing the environmental devastation caused by capitalism, then the Chinese government is headed in the right direction on those scores.
They have announced these policies at the highest levels.
Now, if they can bring themselves to understand that Christianity is the right whole path and if they can convince their people of this, China will be truly blessed. China could then totally disarm without fear. It could give and share freely. It could correct all the ills of depravity now plaguing China, all without force or coercion but rather in the real spirits of love, peace, and truth.
We call upon the Chinese leadership to convert to real Christianity in their hearts and consequently to be good shepherds and good stewards.
Putting the people first is a right call by the Chinese leadership. Now, they must be consistent from top to bottom with the full meaning of that calling.
The people of China are right to air their grievances about land grabs, governmental managerial corruption, and environmental pollution. The Chinese government is to be commended for listening to those poor and right voices. To do so is real strength. They must not turn from their stated direction in these matters. They must themselves not resort to any harmful strategies or tactics. If they will do that, being as harmless as doves to the people, they will not be overthrown but rather transformed into true spirits of light in the world.
It is totally inconsistent with this spirit that the Chinese government has announced an increase in military spending. All military spending is evil. Every bit of it is robbery. Far from granting safety and security, it guarantees a war with the equally misdirected of the US. There is no such thing as peace through military might. There is only peace through pacifism.
Kanye West Hypocrisy?
Kanye West was emotional about condemning George W. Bush over his, Bush's, deliberate neglect of the Blacks of New Orleans and elsewhere after Hurricane Katrina. He said on national and global TV that Bush doesn't like black people.
Well this same Kanye West is spending a small fortune on a meal and chef to be flown in from England to New York. Now, we don't subscribe to Judah's condemnation of Mary when she anointed Jesus with the expensive spikenard. However, Mary was glorifying God by so doing. Kanye West on the other hand is caving into obscene self-indulgence.
We don't begrudge him having his own so to speak, but doesn't he understand excess? Doesn't he understand that it is an affront to God and the children of God to spend so when the food sources in New York are extensive, when he could eat and entertain his guest very well while eating locally, while not so contributing to global warming and all the rest of the ill of rabid displays of capitalism?
We hope he will turn from that bad aspect of the so-called hip-hop culture (greed, hoarding, excess, etc.).
Tearful Protesters Fail to Save Historic Center
Hundreds of tearful and angry protesters gathered outside a youth community centre in Copenhagen yesterday to watch as a hydraulic excavator tore into the building, bringing to an end more than 100 years of political history.
The "Ungdomshuset" or Youth House which once hosted Vladimir Lenin, has been the focus of street riots in recent days following the eviction of squatters from the building which has been sold to a rightwing Christian sect.2
There is no such thing as "a rightwing Christian sect." Real Christians don't do such things. No real Christian would obtain a property to do such a thing. It isn't the Christian approach.
The four-storey red brick building has been a popular meeting point for leftwing anarchists, punk rockers, and musicians since the local government allowed young people to use it in 1982. It quickly became a focal point for anti-capitalist activism.
But its importance as a place where political history was made goes back further. Built as a community theatre for the labour movement in 1897, it was here that both Denmark's women's liberation and trade union movements were founded.
...the house's destruction was a consequence of Denmark's drift to the political right and the erosion of the welfare system. The protests were as much a demonstration against the government of prime minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen as an attempt to save the centre....
The local government, by allowing the youth to inhabit the building, gave the building to them in effect. It is reneging to have sold it out from under them resulting in evicting them into the street. It is exactly the opposite of the Golden Rule. No real Christian can condone it.
This is no endorsement of Marxism or atheistic anarchism. We want the youth to come to see that the freest anyone can be is in a real Christian commune. Heaven is such a place. It is free of evil. That's as free as free can be.
Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards says Jesus would be appalled at how the United States has ignored the plight of the suffering, and that he believes children should have private time to pray at school.
Edwards, in an interview with the Web site Beliefnet.com, said Jesus would be most upset with the selfishness of Americans and the country's willingness to go to war "when it's not necessary."
"I think that Jesus would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of those around us who are suffering and our focus on our own selfish short-term needs," Edwards told the site. "I think he would be appalled, actually."3
John, open your eyes. Be consistent. Jesus is (not just was) against all war. We don't just think this. We know this.
You blaspheme the name of Jesus in your attempt to justify unholy positions and to garner votes by telling the people half-truths.
Jesus hates your positions. You aren't alone. Jesus hates the words, "No options are off the table." What those words mean is that the US considers it an option to incinerate Iran if Iran pursues even nuclear energy, not for weapons.
John, do you understand what it means that the truth about that evil is being spoken? Do you know what it means when woe is pronounced against those who tempt the people to undertake such utter evil? Repent! God says, "Don't lead my people astray."
"If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin." (John 15:22). You have no cloak, John Edwards, and neither do your fellow candidates.
Want to Read Opposing Views About Bush and Latin America?
First, here's the view from the mainstream US propaganda sheet, the New York Times.4 The CIA's point-of-view is always on display. Empire is the game.
SÃO PAULO, Brazil, March 5 — President Bush arrives here on Thursday with an energy partnership plan to create jobs and decrease poverty and inequality, a marked shift in Washington's priorities for Latin America aimed at countering the challenge posed by President Hugo Chávez of Venezuela.
Since 1990, when Mr. Bush's father was in the White House, United States policy toward the region has focused on free-trade agreements and related economic measures, with a secondary emphasis on drug interdiction.
But the growing leftward and anti-American trend in regional politics, led by Mr. Chávez — who plans a countertour to coincide with Mr. Bush's trip — has led to a modified agenda and a renewed effort to rebut complaints by Latin Americans that the president has ignored their concerns in favor of the campaign against terrorism.
"When something isn't working after 15 years, that's a sign there are insurmountable obstacles and it's time to change direction," said Rubens Ricupero, a Brazilian diplomat and former secretary general of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, in an interview here. "This is a very intelligent initiative on the part of the U.S., because there's no point in tying the whole relationship to something that has only produced frustration and stagnation."
The Bush administration has also signaled a new willingness to consider including workers' rights guarantees in trade accords.
Mr. Bush's trip will be his longest to the region. But his promises of American support and assistance are likely to fall short of what Mr. Chávez, with his oil wealth, has been delivering recently.
On Monday, in a speech in Washington to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Bush said ties between the United States and Latin America had helped advance peace and prosperity in the Western Hemisphere. But he also appeared to acknowledge the need to reach out more to America's southern neighbors. "The fact is that tens of millions of our brothers and sisters to the south have seen little improvement in their daily lives," Mr. Bush said, "and this has led some to question the value of democracy."
Mr. Bush's first stop will be here in Brazil's industrial capital. He and the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding for a recently negotiated program that calls for the countries to promote the production and use of ethanol, a renewable fuel that Brazil manufactures from sugar cane. Mr. da Silva, a former labor leader who controls the leftist Workers Party, is also scheduled to visit Mr. Bush at Camp David at the end of the month.
But the convergence of strategic interests of the Western Hemisphere's two most populous countries clearly goes beyond energy. Brazil fancies itself, not Venezuela, as South America's natural leader. It has also recently shown signs of alarm at Mr. Chávez's substantial arms purchases and irritation with his involvement in neighboring Bolivia, including providing military assistance and support for the nationalization of Brazilian-held energy assets there.
"I don't think Brazil will accept the idea of being any type of American surrogate in the region, or to moderate or contain Chávez," said Felipe Lampreia, Brazil's foreign minister from 1995 to 2001. "But the United States wants to bolster Lula as a counterweight, to show that you can have a leftist government with a strong focus on social issues, income distribution and poverty reduction, without being radical."
Mr. Bush will be sending much the same message at his second stop, Uruguay, which signed a trade and investment framework agreement with the United States in January. There, he and President Tabaré Vázquez, a physician who leads a leftist coalition called the Broad Front, plan to meet at the presidential ranch to commemorate Uruguay's emergence, with American help, from a fiscal crisis in 2002 and to discuss how to expand commercial ties.
Dr. Vázquez's government includes former Tupamaro guerrillas; the guerrilla group kidnapped and killed an American official in Montevideo in 1970. But Dr. Vázquez, like Mr. da Silva, has migrated toward the center and largely abandoned the kind of fiery rhetoric that is Mr. Chávez's specialty.
"One must be pragmatic," Dr. Vázquez said in an interview last year. "Uruguayans want jobs that provide dignity, an adequate salary, and security. To have that, you must have economic growth, which is achieved only through production and investment."
Mr. Bush's itinerary also includes stops in Colombia and Guatemala, two countries where political scandals have recently erupted, weakening the pro-American governments there. He will end his trip next week in Mexico, where the agenda is sure to include immigration, a constant source of tension in relations between the two neighbors.
As a candidate in 2000, Mr. Bush vowed that "should I become president, I will look south, not as an afterthought but as a fundamental commitment." But after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the United States quickly relegated Latin America to the ancillary role it played during most of the cold war, creating openings that Mr. Chávez, China and even, more recently, Iran have moved to exploit.
Now, however, "there is a sense that things are not going well for the U.S. in the region," said Peter Hakim, president of Inter-American Dialogue, a Washington-based policy research and advocacy group. "There has probably never been so much anti-Americanism and so little confidence in U.S. leadership since the cold war."
That trend has been aggravated, he said, by the emergence of "such a vehement and reasonably effective adversary" in the form of Mr. Chávez.
An overwhelming majority of government officials and academic analysts in Latin America take it as a given that the United States has been jolted into action by the inroads Mr. Chávez has made. But American officials dispute that notion.
"We are aware of the shortcomings of the Venezuelan government and the kind of unhelpful role it has played in certain countries in the region," Deputy Secretary of State John D. Negroponte said in a recent interview. "I think the president's intent is to accent the positive, and talk about the positive, things we want to get done in the relationships with the countries that he is visiting rather than to call undue attention to this issue, which is Venezuela."
And when asked at a press briefing Monday if Mr. Bush's trip was "an anti-Chávez tour," Stephen J. Hadley, the national security adviser, said, "It's really not."
But Mr. Chávez is acting as if the trip, which he mocks as doomed to failure, is aimed solely at combating his influence, and has responded with a maneuver of his own. While Mr. Bush is in Uruguay on Friday and Saturday, Mr. Chávez plans to be leading anti-Bush demonstrations just across the River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he has cultivated an increasingly friendly relationship with that country's Peronist president, Néstor Kirchner.
There, as elsewhere in the hemisphere, Mr. Chávez has used Venezuela's oil riches to win friends and influence. He has bought more than $1.5 billion in Argentine bonds, flown poor slum residents to receive medical care abroad and proposed a new regional development bank to make low-interest loans.
In contrast, American assistance for the region has lagged far behind. Mr. Hadley said that the United States had nearly doubled aid to the region since President Bush took office to $1.6 billion annually, although other administration officials acknowledged that figure was slated to drop slightly next fiscal year. But recent research by the Washington Office on Latin America, a group often critical of American policy in the region, found that the largest portion of money has gone to Colombia for military and counterdrug aid, that Congress has consistently trimmed aid requests, and that not all funds authorized have been disbursed.
On Monday, Mr. Bush announced several relatively small new initiatives that he would ask Congress to finance. They included $75 million for a new education program promoting study in the United States, $385 million for programs promoting home ownership for lower-income families, and the development of a health care training facility in Panama to serve all of Central America.
"In the short term, Chávez has more to offer because our aid is peanuts," said Riordan Roett, director of the Latin American studies program at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington. "We're talking hundreds of thousands of dollars, and he's tossing around a billion here and a billion there."
Mr. Bush's shift away from an almost exclusive focus on free trade, with its calls for austerity and sacrifice in return for access to the American market, also reflects domestic political realities. His trade promotion authority expires in July, and there are doubts about Congress's willingness to approve free trade agreements that have been signed with Colombia, Peru and Panama.
"It would not be realistic to expect much" from Mr. Bush's visit, said Mr. Lampreia, the former Brazilian foreign minister. "But there is a fresh look at Latin America, very much derived from the fact Chávez is there, and a new approach that is positive, which is a good thing."
Here's the view out from under that propaganda from CouterPunch.5
President Bush's visit to Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Mexico reflects the 'two tracks' of US empire-building — military intervention and political-diplomatic instruments.
Bush's visit to Latin America at this time is an attempt to gain support from client electoral rulers at a time when he has lost the support of over 75% of US public opinion, and is rejected by overwhelming majorities in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Bush's advisers and principal propagandists are counting on publicizing the friendly receptions by Lula, Vazquez, Uribe, Garcia and Calderon to counter the reality and public image of Bush as a mass murderer of the Iraqi and Afghani people.
Bush's escalation of the war against Iraq and threat to bomb Iran has further marked his regime as the deadly enemy of humanity. When electoral politicians like Tabare Vazquez and Lula Da Silva embrace Bush, they provide a decorative mask to an imperial monster who has been exposed as the principal enemy of Latin America's foremost anti-imperialist President Hugo Chavez.
Bush's turn to a diplomatic approach toward consolidating imperial power in Latin America is the result of the failures and defeats of his military policies. The US attempt to conquer Iraq and Afghanistan by military force has failed: the resistance is stronger than ever.
The US invasion of Haiti and the overthrow of the elected President Aristide has failed to defeat mass popular resistance. Washington"s control over Haiti depends on the mercenary armies and officials of its client rulers in Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Bolivia.
The Bush regime's effort to overthrow President Chavez has suffered several major defeats. The mass urban uprising of April 2002 defeated the US backed coup. From December 2002 through January 2003 the Venezuelan workers and the Chavez government defeated the bosses' lockout of the petroleum industry, which had been backed by US oil companies and Washington. The great majority of popular classes defeated the US-financed referendum to impeach Chavez in 2004.
With each failed effort, the prestige of Bush declined while Chavez gained the admiration of the vast majority of Latin America people. The 'Chavez model' of a generous social welfare state, a mixed economy based on a strong state sector, and direct democracy via neighborhood assemblies stood in stark contrast to the failed regressive and stagnant neo-liberal models in the rest of Latin America.
Moreover Chavez' generous sale of oil at subsidized prices to the poor countries of the Caribbean, Central and South America undermined the appeal of rapacious US 'free trade' policies in the region. Venezuela's extensive trade and investment agreements with Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia attracted support from sectors of the 'national bourgeoisie' and weakened US efforts to isolate the Chavez government.
In the Great Contest between Chavez and Bush, between national-popular welfare initiatives and the reactionary regressive neo-liberal status quo, there is no question that Chavez is winning and the US is losing influence. Bush's visit to Latin American is an effort to recoup declining imperial influence by consolidating ties with both the rightist client regimes (Garcia in Peru and Calderon in Mexico) and the pseudo 'center-left' neo-liberal regimes of Vazquez and Lula. The purpose is to integrate these client regimes into the US economic and diplomatic orbit and to construct an anti-Chavez coalition. Given that Bush has no popular support in Latin America, he will only meet with client rulers behind closed doors with heavy security protecting him. Parallel to Bush's visit, President Chavez will visit Argentina where tens of thousands of people will attend a mass public meeting to welcome him. The Chavez-Bush visits reflect the profound polarization in Latin America, in which the vast majority of the people and a few governments stand with Chavez while corrupt and discredited 'ex-leftists' embrace the emperor. Washington's clients, Vazquez, Lula, and Calderon will answer to their people who demonstrate in the streets that the governments who welcome Bush do no represent their opinions or interests. No government can claim to be 'progressive' which welcomes and signs military base and free trade agreements with the worst imperial President in US history.
The future of Uruguay and Brazil will not be determined by the 'vende-patria' agreements signed by the Presidents behind the closed doors of presidential palaces, but by the huge bellicose parliaments of the streets who demonstrate their repudiation of Bush and who affirm their anti-imperialist principles.
Obesity Prompting Early Puberty in Girls
Too much is a bad thing. Feeding to excess is the opposite of denying oneself. Denying oneself is Christian. We've written extensively about this. We've discussed it in depth in conjunction with fasting. Too much protein was shown long ago to cause this same problem.
The entire capitalist philosophy of caving into selfish desires brings with it a host of evil consequences throughout the planet and humanity. That's the lesson here.
Privatization of Services at Walter Reed Questioned
The fallout continues from the scandal over the conditions at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. On Friday Defense Secretary Robert Gates ousted Army secretary Francis Harvey from his post as the top civilian in the Army. Democratic lawmakers are now vowing to investigate the connections between the problems at the hospital and the privatization of services. In September, an Army official wrote a memo that Walter Reed was facing an exodus of highly skilled and experienced personnel because of the Army's decision to privatize support services. A company named IAP Worldwide Services has received a five-year $120 million contract to provide services to Walter Reed. The company is headed by a former senior official from Halliburton.
The profit incentive is claimed to bring higher quality due to competitive pressures; however, where profits are the incentive, so is cost-cutting. Once a contractor has the contract, competition in terms of quality really isn't the top consideration. Cost-cutting is. Hence, service goes down, not up. If the government (the people) want to take back running the system not-for-profit the skills and equipment, etc., must be reacquired. This is the story of privatization wherever it goes. It is always for greed and that's always wrong and bad.
This is why the food monopoly that is being built by the greedy must be broken. That's what the Real Liberal Christian Church Commons is all about doing.
Vermont Congressman Peter Welch said a major factor in the conditions at Walter Reed might be the result of the privatization of services. Welch cited a five-year $120 million contract given to a company called IAP Worldwide Services, which is operated by a former Halliburton executive. The Corporate Research Project is reporting IAP has close ties to the Republican Party. Ownership of the company is controlled by the giant hedge fund Cerberus, whose chair is former Bush Administration Treasury Secretary John Snow. The IAP board of directors includes former Vice President Dan Quayle and retired Marine Corps Commandant Gen. Michael Hagee.
Support the Movement to Conscientious Objector Status
Rather than support troops in the mission to kill, support the troops in the mission to convert. Support their decision to convert to real Christianity right in the middle of the war. Support their freewill choice to exercise the escape clause in their contract with the devil.
You see, everyone is subject to the constant availability to exercise the escape clause. That clause says that at any moment anyone may terminate and rescind his or her contract with the devil simply by executing a new contract with God. Agreeing to a contract with God automatic effectuates the escape clause in the contract with Satan. This is the divine law of contracts. No agreement with Satan is binding upon anyone who turns to God for release from the terms and conditions and provisions of any contract with the devil. All a party needs to do is approach God with his or her case that the devil's contract is against the divine law, which it always is if the party realizes it and notifies Satan that the contract has been rescinded by being replaced by a contract with God.
That's it. There isn't anything the military of the Empire can do about it. So long as the person in the military has a religious revelation and believes, knows, that God calls for pacifism, that's it. The military cannot make anyone fight, because there is freedom of religion under the US Constitution. Everyone has the constitutionally guaranteed right to the free exercise of his or her religion including the religion of real Christianity that means thou shalt not kill or fight or aid in killing or fighting.
The entire point of the Empire is to keep the people down. Everyone who serves in the military of the Empire serves to keep the people down. Why do soldiers serve thusly? Why don't they think? Without the soldiers, the oppression would not exist.
Well, most people realize that the lowest ranking soldiers in general enjoy being told what to do in exchange for monetary compensation. It isn't much more complicated than that. They are looking out for number one (without knowing who number one really is: God) while deliberately avoiding thinking about how they are selling themselves as killer slaves.
Since they know this more and more all the time (more so than at any other time in history), what will happen to them? If they continue, they will die and go to hell. How can it be otherwise?

In a breathtaking example of judicial double-speak, the Court even goes so far as to assert that under certain circumstances, the executive branch would not even be required to explain why the state secrets doctrine exempted certain evidence, because the explanation itself could create an unacceptable danger of compromising national security. In these circumstances, a court would be "obliged to accept the executive branch's claim of privilege without further demand."6
That came from an article concerning the US 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in El-Masri v. United States of America.
What is the Church's official position? The Church does not recognize the decision. The Church officially declares the ruling null and void and of no effect. The ruling falls outside even the semblance of law. It is utter perversion.
There is no national security interest in protecting means and methods for undertaking illegal activities. That's plain, simple, and final. There is no national interest in protecting the Empire's methods used against El Masri.
The court is attempting to shield illegal behavior on the part of the administration/executive branch. The judges who ruled this way are unworthy to sit in the justice seat and should be, will be, removed.
Edmonds' complaint included allegations of illegal activities by Turkish organizations and their agents in the United States, and the involvement of certain elected and appointed U.S. officials in the Department of State, Pentagon, and the U.S. Congress in these activities. In its September 2005 issue, Vanity Fair ran a comprehensive piece on Edmonds' case by reporter David Rose, in which several former and current congressional and Justice Department officials identified former House Speaker Dennis Hastert as being involved in illegal activities with the Turkish organizations and personnel targeted in FBI investigations. In addition, Rose reported: "...much of what Edmonds reportedly heard seemed to concern not state espionage but criminal activity. There was talk, she told investigators, of laundering the profits of large-scale drug deals and of selling classified military technologies to the highest bidder." In January 2005, DOJ-OIG released an unclassified summary of its investigation into Edmonds' termination. The report concluded that Edmonds was fired for reporting serious security breaches and misconduct in the agency's translation program, and that many of her allegations were supported by convincing evidence.7
That's how so-called "State Secrets Privilege" and "national security" are used to cover up illegal activity by false conservatives and others.
Such abominable false laws will be ended. Such reprehensible policies and practices have no business in humanity. Their continuation spells Armageddon and the Great Tribulation.
To hell with the "State Secrets Privilege." It isn't real. It is for concealing illegal, immoral, unethical, lethal, and otherwise evil activity. It is a cover for the Evil Empire.
Scooter Libby found guilty
We won't go into much detail here since this story received tons of coverage elsewhere. We mark the event and day. We also remark that vice president Dick Cheney was the instigator.
Scandal Rocks Texas Juvenile System
For at least two years, investigators say, boys at a juvenile prison in the West Texas desert were summoned from their dorms late at night and taken to darkened conference rooms, offices and ball fields for sex with two of the institution's top administrators.
That's the evil spirit. That's what condoning depravity brings to society.
Torture vs. Other Cruel, Inhuman, and Degrading Treatment: Is the Distinction Real or Apparent?
Ill treatment during captivity, such as psychological manipulations, humiliating treatment, and forced stress positions, does not seem to be substantially different from physical torture in terms of the severity of mental suffering they cause, the underlying mechanism of traumatic stress, and their long-term psychological outcome. Thus, these procedures do amount to torture, thereby lending support to their prohibition by international law.8
That's the conclusion of the study. The definition used by Bush/Cheney is absolutely depraved. Only sadists would employ it. Bush/Cheney is sadistic. Americans who support them should be ashamed of themselves.
Recent Attacks on Food Supplements
When considering the recent attacks in the mainstream against food supplements, it is necessary to bear things about both sides of the issue in mind. First, the mainstream is dominated by the mainstream drug manufacturers. They don't want people to be healthy off anything that those drug companies haven't patented. Also, they really don't want cures but rather maintenance doses for life. There are some exceptions, but generally speaking, that's the mentality.
They hire scientists to spew out whatever will benefit the billionaire drug executives and shareholders. It's no different than the Tobacco Institute and ExxonMobil (concerning global warming). Scientists will twist for dollars. Other scientists just don't all realize that they've been brainwashed to have a bad field of vision that negatively impacts their work and interpretation.
At the extreme other end are hyper Libertarians who are not very spiritually oriented. They put their faith in scientific studies done from a more pure scientific approach but before human trials. This is understandable from their perspective. They don't trust the Empire when it comes to looking out for the health of the general public or individuals. The Libertarians are for the most part far from adverse to capitalism, so consider their statements in that light. The most serious of them are less about snake oil than are the mainstream, giant, capitalistic drug companies.
Now, food supplements can be good when food itself is bad. Food grown by the mainstream is always inferior to food grown by the most natural, most organic, most intelligent, most enlightened, most unselfish souls. Those who fit all of that and have their whole faith in the God of Jesus Christ are the most trustworthy when it comes to food sources and information.
Rice Names Prominent Neoconservative Hawk to State Dept Post
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has named a prominent neoconservative who has advocated for the overthrow of the Iranian government to be the new counselor of the State Department. The official — Eliot Cohen — had been described as "the most influential neoconservative in academe." Two months after the Sept. 11th attacks, Cohen advocated for going after Iran. He wrote in the Wall Street Journal QUOTE "The overthrow of the first theocratic revolutionary Muslim state and its replacement by a moderate or secular government, however, would be no less important a victory in this war than the annihilation of bin Laden." Eliot Cohen has also described the so-called war on terrorism as World War Four.
He's one of the founding members of the reprehensible Project for the New American Century.
This is just another bad omen in a long series of bad omens.
If he's "the most influential neoconservative in academe," then once he's brought down, their champion will be gone. However, the Beast has many heads. It also grows new ones. The whole Beast must go into the eternal Lake of Fire.
Anna Nicole Smith Gets 12X Coverage of Walter Reed
We didn't even really know who this Anna Nicole Smith person was until she died. Apparently, she was a Playboy magazine centerfold with false breasts who married some rich man who was old enough to be her grandfather and who died not that much later. So why did she get twelve times more coverage than the Walter Reed scandal were so much is at stake?
Prurient interest trumps the truth about the hypocrisy of the US military. It trumps concern over soldiers with missing limbs and who are blind and deaf and can't feed or bathe themselves anymore for the rest of their lives on this earth because of the war for oil.
Why was Smith considered more important than other people? Why did she become famous?
FOX News is being criticized for spending more time covering the death of Anna Nicole Smith than the scandal at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. According to the website ThinkProgress.org, FOX News devoted 12 times more coverage to Anna Nicole Smith on Friday than Walter Reed.
This is typical of the British Tabloid formula imported to the US by Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch is all about titillating male viewers with women with an exaggerated interest in sexuality. It feeds into the entire lust mechanism. It goes hand-in-hand with capitalist lust (greed) and blood lust (violence). It is everything that is wrong in this world. It is antichrist. FOX is antichrist. Rupert Murdoch and his family members who have followed him are antichrist. Those who lap up the filth spewed by Murdoch enterprises around the world are antichrist.
Fiftieth Anniversary of Ghana's Independence From the British Empire
AMY GOODMAN: Gamal Nkrumah, how do you know that the CIA was behind the coup in Ghana?
GAMAL NKRUMAH: Well, it is no secret that George Bush, the father, was behind that particular project to topple Kwame Nkrumah. And surely enough, he was rewarded after the coup by being made director of the CIA, and his political career took off after that day. And the papers and documents of the time that were embargoed are now — anybody can have access to those papers in Washington in the Library of Congress and read. Any serious student of history who's interested in this particular episode would find ample evidence in those documents in Washington. It's available for all today.
Kwame Nkrumah was Gamal's father.
The main reason we include this statement here is because George H. W. Bush insisted to Congress and the world that before he was made director of the CIA that he had never been a CIA agent or operative. Well, a willingness and aptitude for straight, boldfaced lying on behalf of the Empire is the most important criterion for CIA advancement.
George H. W. Bush taught his son George W. well all about lying. The father is very proud and puffed up about his son's capacity for deception.

Watch Out for Japan
Japan lost WWII. They wisely developed a pacifist constitution.
Article 9: Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes.
In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized.
Now that was beautiful, brilliant! Every nation on the planet should have followed suit. The United Nations should have adopted that language for the globe. It is God's will.
Since then, even though the US initially backed their pacifist constitution, US neocons have been putting pressure on Japan to remilitarize. The neocons are monsters. This proves it.
Well, slowly but surely, militarists have been rising out of the pit in Japan, just as they are rising out of the pit in Germany. It is the same driving force behind the more openly imperial position of the US.
Hearts are hardening, and the world will pay a terrible price for it.
The last prime minister, Junichiro Koizumi, was worshipping at a militaristic Shinto shrine (the Yasukuni Shrine) where Japanese war criminals are glorified, where the Empire of Japan is glorified. Now the current prime minister, Shinzo Abe, who has also worshipped at that same shrine, is openly denying that Japanese soldiers forced Asia women to be sex slaves for Japanese troops. Abe grandfather was a war criminal who himself became prime minister. Nothing changes. He's a war-crimes apologist, meaning defender. He's a sexist.
Soon the Japanese will enter the arms and space race fully against China and supposedly on the side of the US. However, this portends a huge rise in Japanese nationalism and revisionism along the lines of this denial of sex slavery. The Japanese militarists will be looking for Japan to re-dominate the region in the name of Japanese safety and security in the face of the rising Chinese threat.
Who will finance all of this? There you will find the Antichrist. Satan gets around.
Under the guise of self-defense, wars of aggression are being waged. The US invasion of Iraq was wholly illegal under international law to which the US has subjected itself as a signatory to the United Nations. The US attacked Iraq when there was no semblance of self-defense about it. It was not a pre-emptive attack. It was not a preventative attack. It was naked aggression to expand the Empire. It was a deliberate, premeditated war crime, the crime against the peace of God. Those in charge who drove the policy, Bush and Cheney and their underlings, are all war criminals. Of that there is no doubt.
Now they want to turn Japan and Germany into fellow war criminals. Watch out! The heads of the Hydra bite and kill each other. That's the way the kleptomaniac usurers love it. They can finance the arms race on all sides. The more heads and horns on the Beast the better they falsely imagine.
What they try to avoid thinking about is that they are going to go the way of the Beast. They don't want to hear it.
Free and Unregulated Markets: No such thing
How does the Empire fund itself? It invades others and steals their resources. It's a parasite. It also buys up stocks and its own debt behind the scenes to manipulate the markets. Just consider the raw deal given the Iraqis with the US gun to its head. Either you sign the deal that US oil companies get to control the oil under your feet or we'll make life for you even worse than we've already, deliberately and scientifically, made it.
Just consider the "Plunge Protection Team" of the US that rushes in to get a ground swell started in the opposite direction of a stock market correction, thereby keeping the market artificially high. The insiders know in advance, of course, and start buying early (buy low, sell high, and the poor and middle class are all suckers). Just consider that as the US is buying up its own debt. It's no better than a Ponzi scheme.
It's all a scientific dark art. It has been since before the Rothschild's even further perfected that art of financing all sides in wars and having insider information to fake out the other investors.
In the US, it has been employed ever more craftily by the Federal Reserve. It's all smoke and mirrors from the outside but on the inside they just sit there laughing at the rest of the duped world that doesn't turn over the tables in the temple to cause the overthrow of the parasites.
Well, first comes the word of truth. Then the truth is made manifest. It's coming. It's happening right now.
High-Fivers and Art Student Spies: What Did Israel Know in Advance of the 9/11 Attacks?
[Excerpts and minor commentary]
On the afternoon of September 11, 2001, an FBI bulletin known as a BOLO - "be on lookout" — was issued with regard to three suspicious men who that morning were seen leaving the New Jersey waterfront minutes after the first plane hit World Trade Center 1. ...
Three individuals with van were seen celebrating after initial impact and subsequent explosion. ...
..."this officer was told without question by the driver [Sivan Kurzberg], 'We are Israeli. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are the problem.'" Another of the five Israelis, again without prompting, told Officer DeCarlo - falsely - that "we were on the West Side Highway in New York City during the incident". From inside the vehicle the officers, who were quickly joined by agents from the FBI, retrieved multiple passports and $4,700 in cash stuffed in a sock. According to New Jersey's Bergen Record, which on September 12 reported the arrest of the five Israelis, an investigator high up in the Bergen County law enforcement hierarchy stated that officers had also discovered in the vehicle "maps of the city with certain places highlighted. It looked like they're hooked in with this", the source told the Record, referring to the 9/11 attacks. "It looked like they knew what was going to happen when they were at Liberty State Park."
The five men were indeed Israeli citizens. They claimed to be in the country working as movers for Urban Moving Systems Inc., which maintained a warehouse and office in Weehawken, New Jersey. ...some were given as many as seven lie-detector tests. One of the Israelis, Paul Kurzberg, brother of Sivan, refused to take a lie-detector test for ten weeks. Then he failed it.
Meanwhile, two days after the men were picked up, the owner of Urban Moving Systems, Dominik Suter, a 31- year-old Israeli national, abandoned his business and fled the United States for Israel. Suter's departure was abrupt, leaving behind coffee cups, sandwiches, cell phones and computers strewn on office tables and thousands of dollars of goods in storage. Suter was later placed on the same FBI suspect list as 9/11 lead hijacker Mohammed Atta and other hijackers and suspected al-Qaeda sympathizers, suggesting that U.S. authorities felt Suter may have known something about the attacks. The suspicion, as the investigation unfolded, was that the men working for Urban Moving Systems were spies. ...
It was New York's venerable Jewish weekly The Forward that broke this story in the spring of 2002, after months of footwork. The Forward reported that the FBI had finally concluded that at least two of the men were agents working for the Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, and that Urban Moving Systems, the ostensible employer of the five Israelis, was a front operation. Two former CIA officers confirmed this to me, noting that movers' vans are a common intelligence cover. The Forward also noted that the Israeli government itself admitted that the men were spies. ...
...the investigation was shut down. Following what ABC News reported were "high-level negotiations between Israeli and U.S. government officials", a settlement was reached in the case of the five Urban Moving Systems suspects. Intense political pressure apparently had been brought to bear. The reputable Israeli daily Ha'aretz reported that by the last week of October 2001, some six weeks after the men had been detained, Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and two unidentified "prominent New York congressmen" were lobbying heavily for their release. According to a source at ABC News close to the 20/20 report, high-profile criminal lawyer Alan Dershowitz also stepped in as a negotiator on behalf of the men to smooth out differences with the U.S. government. (Dershowitz declined to comment for this article.) And so, at the end of November 2001, for reasons that only noted they had been working in the country illegally as movers, in violation of their visas, the men were flown home to Israel.
Today, the crucial questions raised by this matter remain unanswered. There is sufficient reason - from news reports, statements by former intelligence officials, an array of circumstantial evidence, and the reported acknowledgment by the Israeli government -to believe that in the months before 9/11, Israel was running an active spy network inside the United States, with Muslim extremists as the target. Given Israel's concerns about Islamic terrorism as well as its long history of spying on U.S. soil, this does not come entirely as a shock. What's incendiary is the idea -Âsupported, though not proven, by several pieces of evidence - that the Israelis did learn something about 9/11 in advance but failed to share all of what they knew with American officials. The questions are disturbing enough to warrant a Congressional investigation.
Yet none of this information found its way into Congress's joint committee report on the attacks, and it was not even tangentially referenced in the nearly 600 pages of the 9/11 Commission's final report. Nor would a single major media outlet track the revelations of The Forward and ABC News to investigate further... ...the story disappeared into the welter of anti-Israel 9/11 conspiracy theories.
However, Mossad did warn the US.
Torpedoing the FBI Probe
All five future hijackers of American Airlines Flight 77, which rammed the Pentagon, maintained addresses or were active within a six-mile radius of towns associated with the Israelis employed at Urban Moving Systems. Hudson and Bergen counties, the areas where the Israelis were allegedly conducting surveillance, were a central staging ground for the hijackers of Flight 77 and their fellow al-Qaeda operatives. Mohammed Atta maintained a mail-drop address and visited friends in northern New Jersey; his contacts there included Hani Hanjour, the suicide pilot for Flight 77, and Majed Moqed, one of the strongmen who backed Hanjour in the seizing of the plane. Could the Israelis, with or without knowledge of the terrorists' plans, have been tracking the men who were soon to hijack Flight 77?
In public statements, both the Israeli government and the FBI have denied that the Urban Moving Systems men were involved in an intelligence operation in the United States. ...
...FBI investigators chafed at the denials from their higher-ups. ...there was similar frustration within the CIA....
However, what was "absolutely certain", according to Vincent Cannistraro, was that the five Israelis formed part of a surveillance network in the New York- New Jersey area. The network's purpose was to track radical Islamic extremists and/or supporters of militant Palestinian groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The former CIA counterterrorism officer who spoke anonymously told me that FBI investigators determined that the suspect Israelis were serving as Arabic-speaking linguists "running technical operations" in northern New Jersey's extensive Muslim communities. The former CIA officer said the operations included taps on telephones, placement of microphones in rooms and mobile surveillance. The source at ABC News agreed: "Our conclusion was that they were Arab linguists involved in monitoring operations, i.e., electronic surveillance. People at FBI concur with this". The ABC News source added, "What we heard was that the Israelis may have picked up chatter that something was going to happen on the morning of 9/11".
Of course. That's why they were celebrating. With the US hit by "Arabs," Israel's position would be stronger within the US. The military-industrial Empire would be more prepared to fight Israel's battle.
The Israeli "Art Student" Spies
...more than 120 young Israeli citizens, posing as art students and peddling cheap paintings, had been repeatedly - and seemingly inexplicably -attempting to penetrate DEA offices and other law enforcement and Defense Department offices across the country....
In retrospect, the fact that a large number of "art students" operated out of Hollywood is intriguing, to say the least. During 2001, the city, just north of Miami, was a hotbed of al-Qaeda activity and served as one of the chief staging grounds for the hijacking of the World Trade Center planes and the Pennsylvania plane; it was home to fifteen of the nineteen future hijackers, nine in Hollywood and six in the surrounding area. Among the 120 suspected Israeli spies posing as art students, more than thirty lived in the Hollywood area, ten in Hollywood proper. As noted in the DEA report, many of these young men and women had training as intelligence and electronic intercept officers in the Israeli military -training and experience far beyond the compulsory service mandated by Israeli law. Their "traveling in the U.S. selling art seem[ed] not to fit their background", according to the DEA report.
One "art student" was a former Israeli military intelligence officer named Hanan Serfaty, who rented two Hollywood apartments close to the mail drop and apartment of Mohammed Atta and four other hijackers. Serfaty was moving large amounts of cash: he carried bank slips showing more than $100,000 deposited from December 2000 through the first quarter of 2001; other bank slips showed withdrawals for about $80,000 during the same period. Serfaty's apartments, serving as crash pads for at least two other "art students"....
In fact, an improbable series of coincidences emerges from a close reading of the 2001 DEA memo, the 9/11 Commission's staff statements and final report, FBI and Justice Department watch lists, hijacker timelines compiled by major media and statements by local, state and federal law enforcement personnel. In at least six urban centers, suspected Israeli spies and 9/11 hijackers and/or al-QaedaÂconnected suspects lived and operated near one another, in some cases less than half a mile apart, for various periods during 2001 in the run-up to the attacks. In addition to northern New Jersey and Hollywood, Florida, these centers included Arlington and Fredericksburg, Virginia; Atlanta; Oklahoma City; Los Angeles; and San Diego. ...
Others among the "art students" had specific backgrounds in electronic surveillance or military intelligence, or were associated with Israeli wiretapping and surveillance firms....
...Ben Dor carried in his luggage a print-out of a computer file that referred to "DEA Groups". How he acquired information about so-called "DEA Groups" - via, for example, his own employment with an Israeli wiretapping company -was never determined, according to DEA documents. ...
"Art student" Michal Gal, arrested by DEA investigators in Irving, Texas, in the spring of 2001, was released on a $10,000 cash bond posted by Ophir Baer, an employee of the Israeli telecommunications software company Amdocs Inc., which provides phone-billing technology to clients that include some of the largest phone companies in the United States as well as U.S. government agencies. Amdocs, whose executive board has been heavily stocked with retired and current members of the Israeli government and military, has been investigated at least twice in the last decade by U.S. authorities on charges of espionage-related leaks of data that the company assured was secure. (The company strenuously denies any wrong-doing.)
...evidence linking these Israelis to 9/11 is classified. ...
...As with the New Jersey Israelis, the investigation into the Israeli "art students" appears to have been halted by orders from on high. The veteran CIA/NSA intelligence operative told me in 2002 that there was "a great press to discredit the story, discredit the connections, prevent [investigators] from going any further. People were told to stand down. You name the agency, they were told to stand down". The operative added, "People who were perceived to be gumshoes on [this matter] suddenly found themselves hammered from all different directions. The interest from the middle bureaucracy was not that there had been a security breach but that someone had bothered to investigate the breach. That was where the terror was".
Choking off the press coverage
There was similar pressure brought against the media venues that ventured to report out the allegations of 9/11- related Israeli espionage. A former ABC News employee high up in the network newsroom told me that when ABC News ran its June 2002 exposé on the celebratory New Jersey Israelis, "Enormous pressure was brought to bear by pro-Israeli organizations" — and this pressure began months before the piece was even close to airing. The source said that ABC News colleagues wondered, "how they [the pro-Israel organizations] found out we were doing the story. Pro- Israeli people were calling the president of ABC News. Barbara Walters was getting bombarded by calls. The story was a hard sell but ABC News came through the management insulated [reporters] from the pressure".
The experience of Carl Cameron, chief Washington correspondent at Fox News Channel and the first mainstream U.S. reporter to present the allegations of Israeli surveillance of the 9/11 hijackers, was perhaps more typical, both in its particulars and aftermath. The attack against Cameron and Fox News was spearheaded by a pro-Israel lobby group called the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA), which operated in tandem with the two most highly visible powerhouse Israel lobbyists, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (itself currently embroiled in a spy scandal connected to the Defense Department and Israeli Embassy). "CAMERA peppered the shit out of us", Carl Cameron told me in 2002, referring to an e-mail bombardment that eventually crashed the Fox News.com servers. Cameron himself received 700 pages of almost identical e-mail messages from hundreds of citizens (though he suspected these were spam identities). CAMERA spokesman Alex Safian later told me that Cameron's upbringing in Iran, where his father traveled as an archeologist, had rendered the reporter "very sympathetic to the Arab side". Safian added, "I think Cameron, personally, has a thing about Israel" — coded language implying that Cameron was an anti-Semite. Cameron was outraged at the accusation.
According to a source at Fox News Channel, the president of the ADL, Abraham Foxman, telephoned executives at Fox News' parent, News Corp., to demand a sit-down in the wake of the Cameron reportage. The source said that Foxman told the News Corp. executives, "Look, you guys have generally been pretty fair to Israel. What are you doing putting this stuff out there? You're killing us". The Fox News source continued, "As good old boys will do over coffee in Manhattan, it was like, well, what can we do about this? Finally, Fox News said, 'Stop the e-mailing. Stop slamming us. Stop being in our face, and we'll stop being in your face — by way of taking our story down off the web. We will not retract it; we will not disavow it; we stand by it. But we will at least take it off the web.'" Following this meeting, within four days of the posting of Cameron's series on Fox News.com, the transcripts disappeared, replaced by the message, "This story no longer exists".
What did Mossad know and tell the U.S.?
Whether or not Israeli spies had detailed foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks, the Israeli authorities knew enough to warn the U.S. government in the summer of 2001 that an attack was on the horizon. The British Sunday Telegraph reported on September 16, 2001, that two senior agents with the Mossad were dispatched to Washington in August 2001 "to alert the CIA and FBI to the existence of a cell of as many as 200 terrorists said to be preparing a big operation". The Telegraph quoted a "senior Israeli security official" as saying the Mossad experts had "no specific information about what was being planned". Still, the official told the Telegraph, the Mossad contacts had "linked the plot to Osama bin Laden". Likewise, Die Zeit correspondent Oliver Schröm reported that on August 23, 2001, the Mossad "handed its American counterpart a list of names of terrorists who were staying in the U.S. and were presumably planning to launch an attack in the foreseeable future". Fox News' Carl Cameron, in May 2002, also reported warnings by Israel: "Based on its own intelligence, the Israeli government provided 'general' information to the United States in the second week of August that an al-Qaeda attack was imminent". The U.S. government later claimed these warnings were not specific enough to allow any mitigating action to be taken. Mossad expert Gordon Thomas, author of Gideon's Spies, says German intelligence sources told him that as late as August 2001 Israeli spies in the United States had made surveillance contacts with "known supporters of bin Laden in the U.S.A. It was those surveillance contacts that later raised the question: how much prior knowledge did Mossad have and at what stage?"
Notice the words "Mossad 'handed its American counterpart a list of names of terrorists who were staying in the U.S.'" A list of names is very specific. Notice the words "an al-Qaeda attack was imminent." Putting those two things together, along with all the other warnings, the US should have pulled out all the stops on the case. However, had the US done that, the pretext for invading Iraq and then overturning Iran and other nations would not have materialized. The US would be at peace right now rather than war. The war financiers and profit-makers would not have reaped the windfall. Understand that Halliburton stocks have gone up thirty-eight fold for Dick Cheney who reportedly still holds stock options in the company.
According to Die Zeit, the Mossad did provide the U.S. government with the names of suspected terrorists Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, who would eventually hijack the Pentagon plane. It is worth noting that Mihdhar and Hazmi were among the hijackers who operated in close proximity to Israeli "art students" in Hollywood, Florida, and to the Urban Moving Systems Israelis in northern New Jersey. Moreover, Hazmi and at least three "art students" visited Oklahoma City on almost the same dates, from April 1 through April 4, 2001. On August 24, 2001, a day after the Mossad's briefing, Mihdhar and Hazmi were placed by the CIA on a terrorist watch list; additionally, it was only after the Mossad warning, as reported by Die Zeit, that the CIA, on August 27, informed the FBI of the presence of the two terrorists. But by then the cell was already in hiding, preparing for attack.
... Israeli spying against the U.S. is of course hotly denied by both governments. In 2002, responding to my own questions about the "art students", Israeli embassy spokesman Mark Regev issued a blanket denial. "Israel does not spy on the United States", Regev told me. The pronouncements from officialdom are strictly pro forma, as it is no secret that spying by Israel on the United States has been wide-ranging and unabashed. A 1996 General Accounting Office report, for example, found that Israel "conducts the most aggressive espionage operation against the United States of any U.S. ally". More recently, a former intelligence official told the Los Angeles Times in 2004 that "[t]here is a huge, aggressive, ongoing set of Israeli activities directed against the United States". ... According to the American Prospect, over the last 20 years at least six sealed indictments have been issued against individuals allegedly spying "on Israel's behalf", but the cases were resolved "through diplomatic and intelligence channels" rather than a public airing in the courts. Career Justice Department and intelligence officials who track Israeli espionage told the Prospect of "long-standing frustration among investigators and prosecutors who feel that cases that could have been made successfully against Israeli spies were never brought to trial, or that the investigations were shut down prematurely".
..."Their explanation of why they were happy", FBI spokesman Margolin told me, "was that the United States would now have to commit itself to fighting [Middle East] terrorism, that Americans would have an understanding and empathy for Israel's circumstances, and that the attacks were ultimately a good thing for Israel". When reporters on the morning of 9/11 asked former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the effect the attacks would have on Israeli- American relations, he responded with a similar gut analysis: "It's very good", he remarked. Then he amended the statement: "Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy [for Israel from Americans]".
What is perhaps most damning is that the Israelis' celebration on the New Jersey waterfront occurred in the first sixteen minutes after the initial crash, when no one was aware this was a terrorist attack. In other words, from the time the first plane hit the north tower, at 8:46 a.m., to the time the second plane hit the south tower, at 9:02 a.m., the overwhelming assumption of news outlets and government officials was that the plane's impact was simply a terrible accident. It was only after the second plane hit that suspicions were aroused. Yet if the men were cheering for political reasons, as they reportedly told the FBI, they obviously believed they were witnessing a terrorist act, and not an accident.
Whistleblower: L.A. Times Heeded Government Request to Quash Internet Spy Story
A whistleblower who helped reveal government spying on the internet has discovered the Los Angeles Times aborted breaking the story at the request of the Bush administration. The whistleblower, Mark Klein, is a former technician at AT&T. Last year, Klein revealed the National Security Agency had set up secret spy rooms in several AT&T offices. In an interview with ABC News, Klein says he worked with a Los Angeles Times reporter for two months to reveal the secret program. Klein says editors killed the story at the request of then-national intelligence director John Negroponte and then-NSA director Michael Hayden. He then went to the New York Times, which finally ran the story.
Notice John Negroponte's hand in this. This is the same John Negroponte who the mainstream media has portrayed as having left that position to go over to the State Department because he was having a bout of conscience over the similarities of what is being done in Iraq and elsewhere and what was done in Central America where Ronald Reagan called the former National Guardsmen of the brutal dictator Anastasio Somoza "freedom fighters" on the order of the founding fathers of the US.
Only fool's eyes didn't roll when Reagan said that kind of stuff boldface on national television.
Well, Negroponte has been over at State and has kept up his verbal attacks on people who are against the evil policies and practices of the Empire. The cover of conscience didn't hold for even one moment.
Negroponte is an old hand at lying. He oversaw some of the worst abuses in American history.
Also, the new movement by the neocons to point back again to Ronald Reagan as their paragon isn't going to work at all. Reagan's cover is blown. The backwash of George W. Bush back into history is going all the way back to the beginning, to the serpent's first lying words. Reagan has that backwash all over his legacy.
The only difference between George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan is that Reagan was much more practiced with letting the old Hollywood contract-actor studio and then the White House handlers handle his image. Bush has been harder to handle.
After all, anyone who would blurt out in a college class, "Why are you going to show us that Commie movie?" about The Grapes of Wrath really is showing his difficult stripes, isn't he.
As an aside, I've read that one Sonora Babb or Sanoro Babb wrote the story and that John Steinbeck plagiarized it. Someone posted on the Web that she sued him and won, although that's the only reference I can find about it on the Internet. The only thing I found was here.10 Someone may have the time to verify whether or not the alleged suit and outcome are real and to follow up at the Internet sites cited in the footnote.
Washington State Sues Over Medicaid Rule for Immigrant Children
The State of Washington has filed a lawsuit over a Bush administration regulation that strips automatic Medicaid coverage to children born to undocumented immigrants. Babies of undocumented workers were previously insured if the mother was covered during birth. Under the new policy, parents must file applications for the child and provide documents to prove his or her citizenship. The Washington state lawsuit says the rule increases health care costs and violates infants' constitutional rights to the same services as all Americans.
The Bush administration is hardhearted.
ACLU Sues Over Child Detentions at Texas Immigration Jail
The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a lawsuit against US government officials on behalf of ten children held at an immigration jail in Texas. The ACLU says the children have been subjected to inhumane treatment as their families await immigration decisions. The suit names Department of Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff and six immigration and customs officials. Some four hundred people are detained at the Hutto facility in Taylor, Texas. Around half of them are children. Hutto is owned by the private prison company, Corrections Corporations of America.
Where's the compassion? Where is the concern for children? These conservatives are irreverent. They don't respect God's desire. They don't fear the consequences of their behavior.
Rumsfeld: His Rise, Fall, and Catastrophic Legacy, by Andrew Cockburn
Andrew Cockburn has revealed some things about Rumsfeld of which we had been previously unaware. Rumsfeld and George H. W. Bush were political rivals and enemies. It is therefore revealing that George W. Bush named Donald Rumsfeld his secretary of Defense.
Of course, George H. W. Bush was not a neocon. Cockburn reveals that George W. once asked his father, "What's a neocon?"
ANDREW COCKBURN: Bush said to — they were out at Kennebunkport, and Bush Jr. says, "Can I ask you a question? What's a neocon?" And the father says, "Do you want names or a description?" The President says, "I'll take a description." He says, "I'll give it to you in one word: Israel," which is interesting on all sorts of levels, including the confirmation that our president doesn't really read the newspapers.11
Neocon equals Israel, per George H. W. Bush. How true. It equals false Zionism.

Europe to Cut Greenhouse Gases 20 Percent by 2020
Unlike the slippery Bush/Cheney announcement to cut 18% from the growth in greenhouse gases, Europe has announced a plan to cut 20% from 1990 levels. Bush's plan wouldn't be a cut from any year it just plans to slow the increase from year to year, which would result in more greenhouse gases from the US each year. The United States plan would allow the US to emit about 20% more greenhouse gases in 2020 than in 2000. That's terrible. The European plan is at least attempting to be responsible. Bush doesn't even make an effort. He's an oilman after all. So is Cheney. That's the foundation of the administration, along with its neocon planks.
The US should go the Europeans better, not for competition's sake but for righteousness' sake.
If other non-EU states are prepared to collaborate, a target of 30 percent will be considered, Chancellor Merkel said.
That's the right direction. We aren't saying that Angela Merkel is a real Christian, but she's showing far better leadership on a number of issues than are Bush or Blair.
Look, even though the American system, the capitalist system, is wrong, the nations of the world will still be judged and measured against the standard set by Jesus Christ. Every nation will be measured according to its deeds. Every nation will be rewarded according to its deeds. How many stripes does America want, or does it want blessings upon the whole earth?
If it wants no stripes and only blessings upon the whole of the earth, then it must do the requisite deeds worthy of repentance (return to closeness to God).
The US has imagined itself the world leader; however, it isn't the world leader in environmentalism (good stewardship). When God's manifest messenger returns, and he is coming (is already here in the Holy Spirit within), those whom he finds taking care will remain in charge. Those he finds beating his siblings will be thrown down. The unrepentant who imagine they will escape through death are sadly mistaken. That's no wishful coercive threat. That's a warning out of concern to each and all not to self-define as those to be left outside unknown to God because they refused to know God.
A big mistake, however, is that the European Commission proposed a 10 percent mandatory target for biofuels. This will cause food-crop lands to be converted to the production of biofuels. Rainforests and other areas will be threatened with conversion to plantations to grow biofuels. This is a terrible idea and needs to be rejected immediately. No one should continue down this path. The only biofuels that are acceptable are those that would come as a result of using resources that could not be put to a different highest and best use. Just as the North American Indians used every last bit of the Buffalo for instance, humanity should use every last bit of the crop cycle but only in order of properly thought out priorities. The current plan for biofuels is deliberately shortsighted, designed for profits first and foremost and not what is best.
Carter: "Apartheid" Israel
Jimmy Carter did not originate the use of the term Apartheid concerning Israel and Palestine. Many, authors had referred to Israel in such a manner. Noam Chomsky had regularly referred to the West Bank and Gaza as being as the Bantustans of South Africa, which were the apartheid areas where the Blacks were restricted to live. It was segregation, which is being practiced by Israel only on ethnic and religious lines rather then such stark skin-color lines.
Now, we believe in separation (segregation) on spiritual grounds with all the provisos Jesus laid out. The Church cannot bring forth while infected with doubters. At the same time, the Church must treat others as its members ought to be treated. Is this the same "separate but equal" of Plessy v. Ferguson, the famous US Supreme Court decision that was later overturn? It is not spiritually equal. It cannot be by definition.
Do the Jews of Israel have this same right? Well, they don't claim it. They claim a so-called modern representational democracy. However, what they are practicing is oppression and repression and land conquest by sinister, creeping violence and "transfer" and illegal settlements and settlement expansion and censorship.
The difference is the real Christians can never engage in such displacement tactics. The idea of Christianity is never to oppress others but rather lift them up to see the light. If they reject the light and the good-faith efforts of Christians, there isn't anything a Christian may do to try to force the issue. Israel, on the other hand, is constantly using force. It is exactly what Jesus condemned when he said that there are those who are trying to take over the kingdom of God by force. It's doomed to failure. It never had a chance of succeeding. There's no success in it. Only falsehood and failure can result from such a wrong-headed approach to existence.
Anyway, Carter is not alone in being treated as the originator of once alternative views. Lots of famous people and writers come out in favor of alternative views well known within the alternative press. Then those who originated those views seem to lose some credit for them.
Well, it's all for the good. We don't know where Chomsky got the idea for calling the West Bank Bantustans for instance. Maybe it was original with him even as others were simultaneously drawing the analogy.
One cannot be held responsible for citing the source of inspiration for everything. We'd spend more time on credits than conversion. We just don't want people to fail to understand that people build the magnification of truth collaboratively. It is a collective effort. There are many unsung heroes in the Truth Movement. It's worth stating even if it's obvious within the movement.
This of course doesn't diminish Carter's move. He has been moved by his conscience. There can be little doubt about that. Carter, as any human being, has made his mistakes, but he does try. He deserves credit for it for whatever that's worth in heaven. To deny that he tries is flat out wrong. He really did put human rights on the map. Before he came along, it was just being ignored. He's bringing that same light to the plight of the Palestinians, despite some fascist elements in Israel and the US and elsewhere.
A Quick Statement about Carter and the Carter Doctrine
The Carter Doctrine stated that the US would use force against anyone who tried to block US access to Persian Gulf oil. Some people believe that on its face, this puts Carter on the same level as Bush/Cheney. While Carter was in error, it does not put him on the Bush/Cheney level by any stretch. Carter was shortsighted in not putting much more effort into alternatives while the getting was good. The oil embargos put people in the right frame of mind for ramping up alternatives. Nevertheless, the Carter Doctrine was more about not allowing anyone to block the ability of Persian Gulf states to market oil to the US than it was about the US saying that the US will takeover the oil fields. Carter was not about stealing Iraqi oil for instance. He was simply saying that the US wouldn't stand around letting others deliberately hurt the US economy and people in ways Carter would have found unfair, etc.
It's simplistic, but fairly accurate. Carter never intended to be a demon. How many other presidents even gave a damn?
Chavez has called for his coalition to unite into one party with one name. This is scary for some. It is unknown territory. Well, look at the US. We have the Democrats and the Republicans. For all practical purposes, that's it. A Democratic president will have a Democratic cabinet, a Republican president, a Republican cabinet. They reach across the isle somewhat but not much.
The only reason the parliament of Venezuela looks so lop-sided right now is because the opposition boycotted the election. They would have been holding seats otherwise. Chavez didn't cause that.
He is ending term limits on the presidency. Well, Franklin Roosevelt was elected four times. Without term limits, Ronald Reagan might have been president until he dropped. There are plenty of one-term presidents in the US too. Term limits really mean that people better than the incumbent might get into office sooner. Sometimes it means that someone less capable takes over.
So far, what has Hugo Chavez done to merit being voted out relative to the political positions of his main opposition?
If he declares himself president for life or dictator, he'll get a bullet from the grassroots. He knows that.
More Ann Coulter Fallout
We don't defend Ann Coulter. She's on her own.
The debate over her use of the term "faggot" has though raised the issue that homosexuals want anti-homosexuality outlawed.
Well, passing such laws isn't going to stop the Real Liberal Christian Church from forthrightly maintaining that homosexuality is a sin.
What do the homosexuals want? They want to put us in prison for knowing that they have no anatomical justification or right-spiritual business doing what they're doing? They want to ban The Bible? They want to engage in Bible burnings and to harass and undermine those who are against the harm that is homosexuality.
We don't believe in coercion, but homosexuals do.
There seem to be plenty of homosexuals in the military (violent). There seem to be plenty of homosexuals with excessive material "wealth" (greedy and hoarding). We say that homosexual activity is depraved. Does that harm or warn? We say it warns.
A jury of twelve homosexuals would bring back a unanimous guilty verdict against us for hurting their feelings, but that won't alter the fact that our religion says it is a warning and not harmful. The warning isn't harmful. The homosexuality is harmful.
It's warning away from the one who kills souls in hell.
If you don't believe, you still don't have a natural and revealed right to call the police to have us arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and murder (martyred).
Your "right" to violate your bodies does not trump our real right to practice Christianity openly without coercion from you or anyone else.
Look, people hate real Christians. They call us all sorts of vile things. Jesus took it. They whipped him, beat him, mocked him, and finally crucified him because he showed them where sin lies.
Do you have the right to get others not to purchase Ann Coulter's writings, etc. Do you have a right to boycott those who carry her writings and show her on TV? Ann Coulter isn't teaching or exemplifying righteousness. However, neither are homosexuals.
We tell all Christians that they have a right and duty to not have in their homes or Churches anything that offends in the Christian sense. If people hear the word of God and stop promoting an unrepentant, misdirecting Ann Coulter, that's a good thing. It would be better though if Ann were to repent and start speaking and living straightly.
We aren't talking here about speaking and living the new social norm, the new tyranny of the majority, where homosexuality has been pronounced acceptable by the psychologists and psychiatrists with their hidden personal agenda of selfishness and hedonism. Theirs is the wide path as evidenced by their participation in and facilitation of the tortures at Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib, etc.
Are there those who will say that there is a narrow way within that wide path? We say there is no such right, narrow way within the way of Godless testing and studies.
When we tell Christians that it is good to practice censorship, we don't want them to do it in a spirit of retaliation or in fear of those who would persecute them.
We aren't afraid of homosexuals persecuting us in the mundane sense of "fear." To be persecuted for upholding the name of God is to honor and glorify God.
If you try to make the world into Sodom, you'll be exterminated. It won't be at the hands of any real Christians. It will be by the angels of consequence, called avenging angels.
That's real prophecy. You better heed.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich: Hypocrisy Denied
Newt Gingrich was committing adultery while he was going after Bill Clinton over Monica Lewinsky. He says that that wasn't hypocritical, because he was going after Clinton for lying about it. Well, we don't live life to trap people, and that's not our intention here. Look, does Newt Gingrich think that the federal government should have been asking Bill Clinton whether or not he was being sexually serviced by Monica Lewinsky? Does Newt Gingrich think that that disqualified Clinton from office? If the answer to either of those is yes, then Newt Gingrich was disqualified from office too. Then he too should have been asked. Then every official should be asked. Then anyone lying should be dismissed and anyone engaged in adultery or fornication or sexual acts out of wedlock should be dismissed. However, the federal government is secular.
The Church can have such standards for leadership, because real-Church membership is always voluntary.
Everyone has the freedom to be spiritually blind and deaf enough to choose death that is servitude to Satan in hell.
The divided house that is the US government claims on some levels that it is not voluntary. It is coercive, which is antichrist (not freely choosing the light yoke of God, really freedom from evil). Therefore, the US Empire will fall to be replaced ultimately by real Christianity where the leaders (the first) are the last (the ministers of all), and where all the hearts will have freely chosen righteousness for its sake. That's heaven and infinitely better than the doomed system of the "founding fathers."
Homicides Up in US Cities
Homicides and violent crimes have increased two- and three-fold in many US cities in the last two years. This is a direct result of militarism and the war climate in general. Bush/Cheney and the neocons have made the entire planet more violent. All the news about torture and lying and the rest has turned thing for the worse, and the neocons are directly responsible. It's evil. The youth in the inner cities have been given the wrong message. They're now killing each other, and threatening areas beyond, in rising numbers.
Of course, that's the way the neocons like it. They won't admit it, but it serves their purposes perfectly. They want the inner-city youth killing each other. It will give them an excuse to clamp down with police-state tactics if the general population is dull enough to be duped into not seeing who has caused the problem. The more trouble in the inner cities, the less opportunity there will be, the poorer people will be, the more will turn to the military for a quick but painful, soul-killing escape.
Rather than continue with the failed neocon and neoliberal path, let's end all wars, end the military, disarm, turn the weapons into farming implements, and feed all the lambs and sheep (the people) in peace, love, and truth.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
What a terrible name for a governmental agency: "ICE." It says coldhearted. Who thought it up? Who approved it? They knew the signal they were sending. Anyone working in an agency with that name is getting a clear signal that he or she is to be uncompassionate.
We hate the name. We hate the message. It's a frequency from hell. Children are being abused, damaged, and hardened on all sides by this evil, this selfishness.
The Republicans are the main culprits in this racist scheme to keep the evil Empire in the ultimate control of WASP's. They are afraid of being outvoted, just as the false Zionists are afraid of the Palestinian right of return for the same reason.
We don't say that Islamic law (sharia) is right. It isn't. However, no one will convert Muslims with the tactics of the false Zionists or racist Americans.
Department of Homeland Security
Who thought up that name? Americans didn't call America the "homeland." It was discordant the first time I heard it. It is still discordant. It is an invasion from hell. It brings to mind the Nazis. Those in the US modeling the Empire after Adolf Hitler thought up the name "homeland." I wouldn't be surprised if it was a false Zionists. They seem to leaned toward the Nazistic in their approach. Victims do to others what was done to them. Hitler was victimized. The Jews were victimized. It's a vicious cycle. Look at the child molesters. Which ones weren't themselves molested as children? It isn't genetic, per se. It is an evil spirit that defiles regardless of genetics. Oh there is, no doubt, a genetic make up that is more given to not passing on the evil, but that's no excuse for the evil.
Unfortunately, the spiritual and manifest diseases of sexual perversion, violence, greed, and all forms of selfishness work well for Satan. It rarely stops with the victim. The immune system of so many cannot heal before spreading the contagion. Selfishness is the only disease. All the different names for diseases are just names for the symptoms of that one disease.
Under these Nazi-minded people who are twisting centralization to evil ends, states' rights are something a liberal might look upon with nostalgia. Of course, states' rights were a way to abuse people too. Damned if you do. Damned if you don't. So convert.
ICE and DHS and other such agencies are profit centers for those who are bent upon throwing the fear into people so they can suck money out of them and to take away the freedom they claim to be protecting.
You cannot give up freedom to stay free. You can only give up evil to become free.
There are now an estimated 946 US-dollar denominated billionaires in the world, at least those who disclose enough about their wealth to be estimated by prying eyes. After all, there are such things as secret accounts. You don't think the black market weapons and drug dealers make their financial assets public do you.
44% and falling are Americans. The world's billionaires have $3.5 trillion in collective personal net worth. Of course, they control a great deal more than that through financial leverage.
Easy money almost everywhere leads to leverage and speculation. No where is this more prevalent than in the global derivative market. ...$8.3 trillion of real money is controlling $313 trillion in derivatives. That's 38 to 1 leverage. These figures are just for the over-the-counter derivatives and do not include the global exchange traded derivatives in currencies, stocks and commodities which are another $75 trillion.12
Collectively, the billionaires control the system in an amorphous way. They control the world's economy through highly stealthy insider trading such as with the Federal Reserve that allows them to know in advance where to place "bets." The fix is always in. The horse is always a sure thing. The house has rigged the table for "old money." The nouveaux riche catch on quickly though. They play along or they get wiped out. Mum's the word.
Nigerians to Punish Homosexuals and Supporters
The Anglican archbishop of Nigeria, Peter Akinola, supports a proposed Nigeria law for a five-year prison term for practicing homosexuals and those who support them. This is the archbishop to whom the conservatives in the Episcopal church turned when the Episcopalians didn't renounce homosexual bishops. Those "conservative" churches weren't aware of the Nigerian plan for punishing homosexuals. You see, homosexuality is a sin but human beings are not supposed to be coercive or punishing. Both ends of this spectrum are incorrect.
Mainstream Condemns and Protects Cheney
The mainstream continues to say that Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld took the country to war based upon flimsy evidence and that what they did wasn't illegal. They didn't take the country to war based upon flimsy evidence. They took the country to war based upon knowingly fabricated evidence and that is illegal.
The perception managers are just trying to drum a lie into the minds of the people.
A war of aggression is illegal. A war of aggression is a war against another nation that was not an imminent threat. Iraq was not an imminent threat. Iran is not an imminent threat. Lebanon was not an imminent threat.
When the experts are shoved aside in favor of policy people whose agenda is clearly imperialism and when raw, forged, and very old data are cobbled together and clearly misrepresented to the people in a way to paint a false and fraudulent picture of the alleged and unsubstantiated threat, that's an illegal enterprise every bit as much as false advertising is illegal. Fraud is fraud. All fraud is illegal. All deception deliberately practiced in order to secure unfair gain is illegal. It's called cheating. It isn't right in cards (card cheats were shot on the spot in the Old West, including in Texas) and fraud is the gravest sin when it comes to the gravest sin that is war. It is the weightiest crime there is.
Of course, no one should shoot the president or anyone else, but no one should accept the drivel that what Bush/Cheney and their co-conspirators spewed wasn't the highest crime there is.
If the nation doesn't rebuke the unrepentant of them for it and remove them from leadership forever, then the nation will be further damned.
The Office of Special Plans is a prime place to start.
Bush Lost Before He Started
Bush cannot attack Iran without another shoe dropping, meaning without a very serious attack somewhere that he can try to pin on Iran. Everybody knows he lied about Iraq. Even if there is another attack somewhere, Bush's credibility is shot. If it happens in the US and he tries to pull another 9-11 and also declares martial law, the country could unravel as never before. It could be worse than the Civil War. He doesn't have the aura of a Hitler. He's not spellbinding. The people know too much. They are learning more too all the time. Bush doesn't have enough key people in place. He's also lost the military. He'd crack and fumble badly.
If the neocons were to try to attack without an extremely clever pretext and without trying to lock down the whole system under overt authoritarianism, both Cheney and Bush would surely face impeachment and lose. The Democrats would take the White House, and their numbers in both houses of Congress would increase. What with the new movement of the evangelicals toward good stewardship and with the movement to good shepherding to come, the neocons and false Zionists would be out perhaps permanently in the US.
If the Israelis attack Iran out of the blue, their goose is cooked in US public opinion as well. If the US cannot attack Iran, then the Israelis sure can't and expect those billions of dollars and those weapons to keep flowing their way. AIPAC already doesn't represent the majority of American Jews, thank God. Their position would weaken even further amongst the more sensible of those who call themselves Jews.
The only thing Bush can do now is salvage what is left of the Republican position to give that party a supposed chance to hold the presidency in 2008.
Bush is in a position now where he has no choice but to listen. He had his time as the deaf decider. If he attacks Iran, he'll destroy the Republican Party for years and years to come and perhaps permanently. Going into Iraq was the biggest obvious-at-the-time foreign-policy error in US history. Attacking Iran would be magnitudes of order more consequential.
They're still thinking about it. It's palpable. They're getting everything ready so that Bush could give the order, but he doesn't have the political camouflage yet. Public opinion is just too against him.
Of course, going into Iraq was the act of unstable minds. There are admirals and generals who would follow orders to attack just on the say so of the president. Therefore, it is actually likely that he'll do the wrong thing and attack.
What people don't seem to be concerned about is that the box goes wherever Bush goes — the box that can fire off every nuclear weapon in the US arsenal.
Russia and China are in no position to come to the rescue of any nation against the US. It would drive them crazy if hardline militarists and corporatists (fascists) pulled another false-flag, widened the war, declared martial law, suspended Congress and US elections indefinitely. Russia and China would drop everything their doing to swing into full industrialization for weaponization. Europe would have to decide and would probably drag its feet as long as possible while it too went into a full-scale military build-up. The global arms race would be unleashed, and the US would have to hit others before they could become too powerful to beat in combination.
What may appear to be wild speculation wouldn't take much to make reality. That's the point. This president has proved himself highly dangerous. The invasion of Iraq wasn't even mundanely rational.
The biggest issue in the minds of many surrounding Bush is oil. Oil is peaking. There is no doubt about it. Oil, freshwater, and farmland to grow biofuels and food will be the big things over which to fight. Once the oil is gone or has been replaced by new technologies, freshwater will still be a major issue even with desalinization plants being brought on line.
The world's population is too great. This is something that the powers that be know full well but just don't concern themselves with since abstinence and a check on lust can be replaced by starvation and war to decrease the surplus population.
This is why we need the Christian commons ASAP.
From the neocon perspective, Bush's biggest mistake is that he was too slow and not ruthless enough to lock down Iraq. To the militarists, he didn't send in the minimum 500,000 troops it would have taken to lock down the country. To the politicians, he was a fool to not use the Iraqi Army right away on a tight leash and reprogramming them and also in allowing Paul Bremmer to author the new Iraqi constitution rather then letting the Iraqis have much more of their way.
Well, that would have been doing things with a view of minimizing chaos, which was the opposite of the plan for stirring up the whole region. However, they could have still gone after Syria and Iran but from a position of stability in Iraq where they really could have been seen as liberators if they have acted like it.
We aren't advocating any of this mind you. It's all wrong. It's just that they aren't even any good at playing worldly Empire even though they want to have one and run one so badly.
Rather than any of that, they ruined Iraq. They did a great job of what they set out to do. They've revved up the fear and revved up the printing presses for money for the military-industrial Empire. As usual though, they've blown it for themselves. Even if they had done it the other way, it wouldn't have lasted. It would have looked better to many more around the world, but it would still have ultimately failed, just as Japan and Europe are going to fail even though the US rebuilt much of both of them after WWII.
United States Justice Department Audit: National Security Letters
National Security Letters are letters used by the FBI with supposedly the same force and effect as a subpoena from a court. An audit by the Justice Department required by the Congress shows that the letters have been used many more times than previously reported by the FBI and in a number of cases totally against the letter and spirit of the authorization by the Congress.
Frankly, these letters are not constitutional regardless of how a court may rule on their constitutionality. Not only that but also one must simply take the Justice Departments word for the result of the audit. The facts are probably much worse than what the audit shows.
These letters are supposedly authorized under the Patriot Act; however, that Act itself is unconstitutional and needs to be totally repealed by the government. It was never necessary or useful in law enforcement. The government had more than all the so-called tools it needs under FISA.
Turk Convicted of Genocide Denial
A court in Switzerland has found Dogu Perincek, head of the Turkish Workers' Party, guilty of denying that mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks in 1915 amounted to genocide.
What is this kind of action designed to accomplish? How can anyone conduct research under such intimidation? Perincek denies the characterization of the deaths. He says there were many deaths on both sides. We wonder where Turkey was tried and found guilty. All we have are the statements in the press over the years that say Turks killed hundreds of thousands of Armenians execution style. The Turks deny it. They say lots of those Armenians who died did so of starvation and disease and fighting, etc. How is anyone to know which side to believe? Could it be that both sides have exaggerated? Could it be that the Turks executed far more than they suggest and that Armenians have inflated the figure? It's for sure. Even the Armenians will give different numbers. If they can't agree amongst themselves (and such numbers are always estimates at best), how can others be expected to just accept some number as hard and fast?
According to Switzerland, a self-proclaimed neutral nation, just asking questions is illegal. It's insane. According to Swiss law, this article is illegal. The law bans denying, belittling, or justifying genocide.
Genocide is a matter of definition to begin with. Some people say that it must be a plan to exterminate an entire ethnic group. Others apply the term to a large scale extermination that isn't necessarily aimed at the entire group.
Secretive US Hearings Raise Concern
Fourteen Guantánamo Bay detainees are due to face their first hearings before US military panels without legal representation and with reporters barred from the proceedings.
Is that fair?
Homeland Security Revives Super Snoop
Homeland Security officials are testing a super-snoop computer system that sifts through personal information on US citizens they claim to detect possible terrorist attacks. Lawmakers have called for investigations.
US Hires DynCorp for Somalia Peacekeeping
The Bush administration has given a new contract to the private military contractor DynCorp. On Wednesday, the State Department announced DynCorp has been hired to help equip and support the international peacekeeping force in Somalia. The $10 million deal means the US can maintain its role in Somalia without committing combat troops.
King Abdullah of Jordan Calls on US to Support the Saudi Peace Plan for Palestine
On Capitol Hill, king Abdullah of Jordan continued his visit to the US Wednesday with an address before a Joint Session of Congress. Abdullah called on the US to support Palestinian self-determination. King Adbullah said the US should back the Saudi peace plan advanced by the Arab states. The proposal calls for recognition of Israel in return for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Occupied Territories.
Why hasn't the US agreed to that plan? UN Resolution 242 calls for Israel to withdraw to pre-1967 War borders (the Green Line). Israel has always complained that the Palestinians and Arabs and Muslims have not recognized Israel. Here we have the Arabs and the Iranians (Shiites) agreeing to recognize Israel if Israel will abide by Resolution 242. Yet, the US hasn't said it agrees with the Saudi proposal. Why not?
Israel doesn't want to be recognized and to have peace as much as it wants to keep the lands it took in war (which keeping is illegal under international law). Israel doesn't want to preclude taking more and more land. It has imperial ambitions in the Middle East, and it needs strife as a cover for taking more lebensraum (that's Nazi for "living space").
Females in the US Military are in Danger of Rape from Males Supposedly on Their Side
Col. Janis Karpinski: Because the women, in fear of getting up in the hours of darkness to go out to the portoilets or the latrines, were not drinking liquids after 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. And in 120-degree heat or hotter, because there was no air conditioning at most of the facilities, they were dying from dehydration in their sleep. And rather than make everybody aware of that, because that's shocking — and as a leader, if that's not shocking to you, then you're not much of a leader — so what they told the surgeon to do was, "Don't brief those details anymore. And don't say specifically that they're women. You can provide that in a written report, but don't brief it in the open anymore."
Marjorie Cohn: Was there a commander who saw dehydration listed as a cause of death of a woman, a woman female US soldier, and after that he said "Do not list dehydration as a cause of death anymore"?
Col. Janis Karpinski: Yes.
Marjorie Cohn: Who was that?
Col. Janis Karpinski: General Sanchez.
Marjorie Cohn: General Sanchez. Thank you.
Amy Goodman: That was Colonel, formerly Brigadier General, Janis Karpinski being questioned by the law professor Marjorie Cohn. The general she's referring to is Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez, who served as the commander of the coalition forces in Iraq.
30% of women are sexually assaulted and/or raped.
We were totally opposed to females in combat. We were opposed to males in combat. Why would we be in favor of equal opportunity for the depravity of killing for females? The all-male combat forces were more than evil enough already without women by their sides killing and maiming others.
This doesn't excuse males raping females. However, why would any women be foolish enough to expect to be treated with respect by an institution design for mass murder?
We feel for the confused women and men in the military. They must wake up and get out. They must tell all others not to join. That's the only way.
The megalomaniacs, the kleptomaniacs, the oligarchs, the dystopians, all those who rule the world could do nothing without the grunts. Deny them the grunts, and you deny them their sadomasochistic Empire.

GM to Release Electric Car by 2010
... General Motors' Chevy Volt, a hybrid concept car that gets up to 150 miles per gallon that was unveiled at the North American Auto Show in Detroit earlier this month. GM Chairman Rick Wagoner has admitted his biggest mistake was pulling the plug on the electric car, a field in which the world's largest automobile manufacturer had a commanding lead.
The Volt can run 40 to 45 miles on its battery charge, and has a small 1-liter gasoline engine that gives it a range of 600 miles. GM says it is having difficulty lining up a supplier to build the Volt's battery, and it won't give a definite time line for introducing the vehicle as part of its product line, though it has hinted at three to four years from now.
But there is continuing skepticism about GM's intentions, including those who suggest the announcement was an attempt to forestall competition among smaller or start-up firms looking for investors in EV production.
If Americans had to pay at the pump for the massive military investment in keeping the sea lanes open for the transport of crude oil from the Persian Gulf and elsewhere, the electric car would be as hot as flat-screen TV sets. Even without that, we suspect there is a huge market for an affordable, reliable and attractive electric plug-in vehicle. And the first company to get it into dealer showrooms is going to be a big winner in a huge new market.
More important, a timely entry of EVs on a mass scale could delay or prevent an oil crisis with severe economic repercussions. The sooner America makes the transition from the gasoline-powered engine to the electric-powered engine, the better for the country, the better for the planet, the better for us all.13
That was a month ago. GM has announced that they now plan for release in 2010.14 It's not the solution, but it would greatly lessen the problem. It is heading in the right direction. Since the gasoline engine can be swapped out for a different type of engine, including a hydrogen fuel cell, electrical production for the grid would end up being the main issue. If people would use solar panels to generate the electricity to charge their cars, we could see a drastic reduction in pollution across-the-board. Those solar panels could feed the grid with power produced over and above what the homes or offices or other buildings need. That would cut back on coal-fired plants and the supposed need for nuclear. It would be a win-win situation for everyone who cares about the home planet.
Of course, the electrical companies would hate it. All we have to say about that is "get over it" and "move on." Actually, no, there would be no reason whatsoever for anyone in the electrical-energy-plant business to be treated callously. Christians aren't for treating anyone callously. That is why the Christian communes are such a great idea. Everyone moves forward together. No one is left behind. If something changes, everyone still eats. Everyone still has all the basic necessities. When everyone has the basic necessities met in this way, then everyone begins sharing as the abundance continues coming. Under universal righteousness, want would be no more.
The British Agree to Ban Cluster Munitions/Bombs
This is news from last month, but it didn't get much play in the US. The British have agreed to sign onto an international agreement to ban cluster bombs. This is a last minute moral position by Tony Blair one should think as an attempt to salvage some of his reputation. He made a big deal of pulling British troops from Iraq, but then the British are increasing troop-strength in Afghanistan.
It is sort of like Bush giving speeches in South America praising Simón BolÃvar (the South American who fought the Spanish Empire to liberate Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia) and saying that BolÃvar's revolution needs to be completed. Who's he kidding? Hugo Chavez heads the BolÃvarian alternative to US dictatorship over the Americas.
It's sort of like Bush still giving speeches about Hurricane Katrina while Black people are still homeless from the Hurricane.
Anyway, the whole planet must totally disarm. Banning cluster bombs is trying to make war more humane. That approach allows evil to remain and to flare up again.
Look, war was seen as monstrous, so they made laws of war. Now those laws have been called "quaint." The monsters have come full circle, and they're running the White House. Therefore, the only thing to do is ban war everywhere forever. Then as time goes by, the addiction will fade. If you leave any of it, the temptation will remain. Monsters will be tempted and fall again.
Former Iranian Deputy Defence Minister, Ali Rez Asgari
What is Mossad up to concerning Ali Rez Asgari? It is being reported that Asgari has information from the early 1990's about Iran and anti-Israeli groups such as Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad.
If you will recall in the lead up to the invasion of Baghdad, the US cited intelligence about Iraq to convince the American people to go to war; however, the neocons conveniently left out that much of the intelligence was from as far back as the 1980's as if little to nothing had changed even though there had been a previous invasion (Gulf War), exhaustive UN weapons inspections, sanctions, other developments, and then more UN weapons inspections just months before the March 2003 invasion.
What ever is claimed as intelligence now, the question must be asked about the age of the information. If the age isn't forthcoming, we must assume the Bush administration is lying yet again.
How Far Down Can the US Military Go?
Joshua Key refused to go back to commit atrocities in Iraq for imperialism as a terrorist. He refused, because when he was there he saw that the US military was terrorizing the people, acting in despicable ways without any seeming justification. He saw US soldiers kicking around the decapitated head of a Iraqi civilian whose head had been severed from his body via US M16 rifle rounds. He saw much atrocious behavior that wasn't being corrected by the higher-ups. He saw a defenseless little girl just be summarily shot in the head. That little girl, perhaps eight years old by Joshua's estimation, had routinely come to ask for rations and water and she had returned the favor with bread and such. Then one day she was just murdered just because some soldier felt like it. That soldier had been warped by US military training that degraded and dehumanized the Iraqis and all Muslims.15 No doubt he had played thousands of hours of violent video games growing up as well.
That's what the Empire is producing, conscienceless monsters, sociopaths with a license to murder. How safe will the homes in the US be when these guys get back? How safe will their family members and children be? What will happen when those children are abused? They will abuse.
We must end this vicious cycle forever. Ban war. The US military is more dangerous than a pack of rabid dogs. It needs to be disbanded completely. All militaries must go. War and weapons must go.
Reviewers of Key's book had this to say:
...he was sent to Iraq to hunt for terrorists, a mission that involved beating civilians, kidnapping innocents, and destroying homes and families (all of which he relates in precise, damning detail).
Key was sent to Ramadi where he found himself participating in a war that was not the campaign against terrorists and evildoers he had expected. He saw Iraqi civilians beaten, shot, and killed for little or no provocation. Nearly ever[y] other night, he participated in raids on homes that found only terrified families and no evidence of terrorist activity.16
Is Peak Oil Already Here?
Saudi production dropped 8% from 2005 to 2006. They are having to use elaborate extraction techniques now. Kuwaiti production is falling rapidly. Mexican production is down 13% since 2005. North Sea oil is about to peak. China is about to peak. Can new finds keep up? No.

The following should appear at the end of every post:
According to the IRS, "Know the law: Avoid political campaign intervention":
Tax-exempt section 501(c)(3) organizations like churches, universities, and hospitals must follow the law regarding political campaigns. Unfortunately, some don't know the law.
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are prohibited from participating in any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. The prohibition applies to campaigns at the federal, state and local level.
Violation of this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes. Section 501(c)(3) private foundations are subject to additional restrictions.
Political Campaign Intervention
Political campaign intervention includes any activities that favor or oppose one or more candidates for public office. The prohibition extends beyond candidate endorsements.
Contributions to political campaign funds, public statements of support or opposition (verbal or written) made by or on behalf of an organization, and the distribution of materials prepared by others that support or oppose any candidate for public office all violate the prohibition on political campaign intervention.
Factors in determining whether a communication results in political campaign intervention include the following:
- Whether the statement identifies one or more candidates for a given public office
- Whether the statement expresses approval or disapproval of one or more candidates' positions and/or actions
- Whether the statement is delivered close in time to the election
- Whether the statement makes reference to voting or an election
- Whether the issue addressed distinguishes candidates for a given office
Many religious organizations believe, as we do, that the above constitutes a violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
That said, we make the following absolutely clear here:
- The Real Liberal Christian Church and Christian Commons Project not only do not endorse any candidate for any secular office, we say that Christianity forbids voting in such elections.
- Furthermore, when we discuss any public-office holder's position, policy, action or inaction, we definitely are not encouraging anyone to vote for that office holder's position.
- We are not trying to influence secular elections but rather want people to come out from that entire fallen system.
- When we analyze or discuss what is termed "public policy," we do it entirely from a theological standpoint with an eye to educating professing Christians and those to whom we are openly always proselytizing to convert to authentic Christianity.
- It is impossible for us to fully evangelize and proselytize without directly discussing the pros and cons of public policy and the positions of secular-office holders, hence the unconstitutionality of the IRS code on the matter.
- We are not rich and wouldn't be looking for a fight regardless. What we cannot do is compromise our faith (which seeks to harm nobody, quite the contrary).
- We render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. We render unto God what is God's.
- When Caesar says to us that unless we shut up about the unrighteousness of Caesar's policies and practices, we will lose the ability of people who donate to us to declare their donations as deductions on their federal and state income-tax returns, we say to Caesar that we cannot shut up while exercising our religion in a very reasonable way.
- We consider the IRS code on this matter as deliberate economic duress (a form of coercion) and a direct attempt by the federal government to censor dissenting, free political and religious speech.
- It's not freedom of religion if they tax it.
And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. (Matthew 17:24-26)
