The only officer accused of abuse at Abu Ghraib has been cleared by a military jury.

No officer to-date will be held responsible or to account for orders and training given to those on the front line in the prison to torture prisoners.

The Abu Ghraib cover-up is still in full force. No major politicians are calling for a complete airing of the torture regime. Why not? What does it say about the American people in general, as a nation, as a supposedly unified house that such is the case?

Is it a government of the people? Then the people too are corrupt. Otherwise, the house is divided. We know that the latter is the case, because there are many people who are American citizens who find the behavior of the US military, so-called intelligence community, and the private (corporate) contractors reprehensible and an abomination before God.
