The FBI has a system that allows them to wiretap with just one click almost any private communications device in the US. The FBI wiretap rooms are directly wired to the internet-, phone-, and cell-phone-provider networks. Who's to say when they click and when they don't?

Why does this matter? It matters, because the FBI has a long history of abusive spying. It matters, because the safeguards against such abuse have been severely lessened under the current George W. Bush regime.
