Questions have been raised if this new policy could be used to silence criticism of AT&T's corporate practices or the company's role in the Bush administration's domestic surveillance program.
Of course, this is a ploy to silence people. They wouldn't terminate their critics. The negative press would be huge. People would switch to a competitor. It is very revealing though. AT&T definitely broke the mundane law when it allowed and facilitated the NSA, et al., to sift as the devil through all of AT&T's communications traffic. The private conversations of people could be used in countless ways by the Plutocrats to blackmail people. It's been done before, and this current crop running the affairs of state are every bit as evil as the most evil people ever to occupy the posts.
