The world is doing almost nothing about the coming climate disaster caused by burning carbon fuels.

The situation requires radical solutions. Currently, there are scientists working on creating wholly artificial species of bacteria to be designed to clean up the environment by digesting and converting pollution. These life forms are expected to be conversion factories. Well, who knows where they will stop? Who knows how to keep them from mutating into something catastrophic? The driving force behind these efforts is monetary gain. That's selfishness. Selfishness is never ultimately rewarded but rather always results in punishments being received.

Jesus made clear that the punishment is meted out and received either in the here and now or in the hereafter, but it is always meted out. Only the greatest collective repentance (course change) ever reverses the process.
