Reuters - Cuba's new President Raul Castro came
under outside pressure to release political prisoners and allow more dissent on Monday, after taking over from his ailing brother Fidel Castro who ruled for almost half a century.
RLCC: The Reuters article is written mainly from the typical false-conservative, Miami-Cuban perspective. Those who Fidel ousted were criminals. They were dictators and gangsters not interested in what was or is best for the whole people.
This is not to excuse the militancy of Castro or his coercive, one-party rule.
Castro and the U.S. could have struck more of a balance right from the start, but the covetous and greedy in the U.S. weren't interested in that. They wanted and still want to gain evil positions of power in Cuba negatively to exploit the people and land.
The U.S. should immediately and completely lift the economic embargo against Cuba. It should lift all travel restrictions. It should use nothing but moral suasion.
