WESTINGHOUSE STRIKES DEAL TO BUILD US NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS (AFP)

AFP - Westinghouse Electric, a unit of the Japanese Toshiba Corp., said Tuesday it had struck a deal with Georgia Power to build two nuclear power plants in the southern United States, the first such projects in 30 years.

RLCC Comment: This is a really dumb idea. It's as dumb as ethanol from corn. The people behind this are being evil. Nuclear is not necessary. Resources should rather be plowed into systems that generate cleanly and can even reduce costs to the point where the electrical meters can be removed from houses and energy can be free.
