AP - Thousands of Cubans will be able to get title to state-owned homes under regulations published Friday - a step that might lay the groundwork for broader housing reform.

RLCC Comment: The plan is a hybrid of the Chinese model. They want to remain a one-party government but grant "benefits" as with market-socialism. It is doubtful that they will open the doors any time soon to unbridled capitalism to the extent China has. They are watching the errors of China and the successes of Venezuela.

The Cubans in Cuba aren't stupid people in the mundane sense. They've had a long time to think about the evil excesses of the huge imperial-capitalist power right off their shores. They don't want to be re-devoured.
