FRANCE, SAUDI ARABIA TO COOPERATE IN CO2-CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY (AFP)

AFP - France said Tuesday it plans to cooperate with Saudi Arabia in solar energy and in technology for "capturing" and storing carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels, preventing them from being released into the atmosphere.

RLCC Comment: How serious are they? Is this akin to vaporware in software where a big company such as Microsoft announces plans to develop software in an area but doesn't really plan to do that but rather just says it to keep other companies from working on it? Are the oil interests just saying they are going to work on this to lull consumers to sleep so they will continue buying and burning gas? Will they just put a little money into the effort?

Frankly, the Saudis should pump every bit of profit into solar while there's still time.
