BOSTON — A Boston television host who launched a public campaign against Fox commentator Bill O'Reilly was fired by the Comcast Network Wednesday.

Barry Nolan, who did a nightly program on the network's CN8 channel, had protested the decision by the New England EMMY chapter to honor O'Reilly at its annual awards ceremony. O'Reilly was given the organization's Governor's Award May 10.
