Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton quickly apologized after citing the June 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy as a reason to remain in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination despite increasingly long odds.
Everyone knows that she didn't mean it the way it has been deliberately twisted by her opposition. I not campaigning for her or against her. She's running for secular office. The Church has no part in that system that will fall. I'm just pointing out that those who are criticizing her over this are playing a disingenuous word-game. It's obvious. She shouldn't have apologized. She should have explained what she meant and left it at that. Apologizing to people who deliberately, knowingly take what you are saying wrong is a mistake. Those who deliberately take things wrong are the ones who should apologize.
She's wrong on other fronts. Just stick to those things. Don't make stuff up. It's weak and stupid.
