The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, says, "The US military must remain apolitical at all times and in all ways. It is and must always be a neutral instrument of the state no matter which party holds sway."
Well, what about the law? Is it political to refuse an illegal order? Mullen doesn't define his terms.
The fact that he has aided and abetted the war crimes of the Bush administration speaks volumes about him. He didn't resign in protest and then speak out. No, right now he's being as political as anyone else by saying what he's saying that serves the illegality of the Bush administration and the complicit Democrats.
He's attempting to cover the military's role in the illegality — war crimes and crimes against humanity, etc.
Frankly, the whole thing (the military) is illegal. It's against the divine law.
The military is inherently evil. That's why there are people willing to kill others on orders from those who say, "Yours is not to reason why. Yours is but to do or die." Some say, "and die."
