LAX MORAL CLIMATE SET BY GEORGE W. BUSH AND ADMINISTRATION LED TO NUMEROUS DOCUMENTED MURDERS AND DEATHS BY TORTURE

We know that John Yoo and other lawyers in the Bush White House (under the White House) wrote legal memos to give cover for torture. We know that the highest ranking cabinet members with Bush's okay authorized the use of torture. We know that at least 25 people were murdered while being held under those memos and that authorization. We know that the murders included torturing people to death, a logical consequence of all the techniques sanctioned, advocated, and encouraged from the top down.

We know that the president set the tone. We know that he has shown zero outrage. We know that he has worked the system to be as lenient as possible with those on the frontline of the torture who followed his orders that were clearly illegal at the time regardless of the memos or the authorization by Bush's cabinet and Bush himself. However, Bush remains in office. Why?

What is the moral standing of the nation that leaves the likes of George W. Bush in office? It is extremely low.
