Chrysler has built an electric, super, sports car. It goes 0 to 60 mph in five seconds. It's called the Dodge EV. It's emissions free and will travel some 150 to 200 miles on a charge.

If you read the comments section of article linked to above, you'll see that it has its naysayers. Chrysler though says it's planning other electric vehicles. That's right there in the article.

Frankly, what these companies do in their racing and sports-car divisions often leads the way to better production vehicles of the more sedate kind.

At least they (the industry) aren't killing the electric car anymore.
