Is it "seize land controlled by an economic elite to redistribute among poor indigenous farmers who make up Morales' power base" [, By Eduardo Garcia – Mon Oct 20, 12:36 pm ET, Reuters] or is it seize back land controlled by an economic elite to redistribute among poor indigenous farmers? Whose land was it originally? Didn't the Europeans come over and steal it from the people who were holding it in common?
The answer is yes they stole it.
So, how does one wrongfully take back what is his?
Well, Jesus advises that we aren't to fight back.
Well, the Bolivians are doing it democratically aren't they?
There again, democracy still relies upon coercion where the other side doesn't want peacefully to adhere to the decision of the majority or however the state has been set up such as with a representational democracy. Who set up that state to begin with though? Was it set up with the consent of the governed, or was it rammed down everyone's throat by, again, coercive means?
What do you think?
