CNN is playing catch-up that Israel broke the ceasefire with Hamas. You see, if we speak the truth, it will get out.
You will notice in the CNN video at the end though that the CNN people try to obfuscate.
The tunnel was entirely in Gaza. If Hamas had dug under the enclosure and kidnapped anyone, then it would have been Hamas rather than Israel who would have broken the ceasefire or six-month truce, if that's what you want to call it.
Israel didn't stop its military work during the ceasefire. It continued taking shipments from the U.S. and continued doing other things. Israel had no right to stop Hamas from digging until Hamas was actually beyond the 1967 border (Green Line).
A ceasefire is a ceasefire. There aren't any buts. The people who shoot first or do the first act of violence are the ones who break it. There are no buts. That's why it's called a ceasefire. It means stop firing. Who fired first? Israel did. Anyone who tries to twist this, or spin it as they say now, is up to evil.
There are no subtleties here to confuse anyone. That's just preplanned spin. Even when CNN starts to expose the truth, it does it hemming and hawing.
Israel has been lying through its huge propaganda network that includes most of the mainstream media in the U.S.
CNN was simply forced into responding, because it was being embarrassed and scooped by bloggers and others.
President Jimmy Carter deserves huge credit for braving the Israel, Zionist, Likudnik, Neocon, Jewish, call it what you will, Lobby and Mossad, etc.
