The so-called war on drugs is insane. You can get people voluntarily to stop doing what is harmful to themselves and to others, but fighting to force people to do what is right turns into what is wrong anyway.
Also, those who benefit most financially from both the illegal drug trade and the so-called law-enforcement against it are just brainwashing those who want a drug-free world into believing that restrictive, violently coercive laws have at their base only a righteous motive. They do not. The laws are designed to give many unrighteous mammon.
Are we advocating changes in mundane legislation? No, that's not what moves us. We are pointing out the difference between divine and mundane law. We are advocating Christianity that, by definition, cannot be mundanely legislated.
