The Obama administration has defended former Justice Department attorney John Yoo in court against a claim by Jose Padilla, arrested and held and tortured as an enemy combatant. Yoo wrote that the President can pretty much do anything he deems necessary, including torture, to execute the war on terrorism.
Torture is against both international and U.S. law without exception. Yoo twisted the U.S. Constitution to the degree that what the U.S. condemned in others (Nazis and the Imperial Japanese), Yoo allowed in U.S. Presidents. Obama is weak.
