A NEW WAY FORWARD: A VERY MODEST PROPOSAL
The following video represents a plan that is very mixed-economy oriented. It allows for the re-privatization of nationalized banks after they've undergone reorganization. What it would do is stop the vacuuming up of present and future taxes and labor by the ultra-rich who caused the current economic crisis. It would stop the excessive printing of money bearing interest that will eventually cause inflationary problems. It would do more, but I'll let it speak for itself.
I don't subscribe to it frankly. It's much too status quo. It will not fix the systemic flaws in the whole economic model that is based upon greed. We really do need to, and eventually humanity will or perish, do away (without wars and violence) with money and thereby also banking, interest, and taxes.
As a first step, the money should be nationalized. I've written on that a number of times. There is a movement building for it. You can search on this site for United States Notes to start with for more information.
Now, here's the video. (You may click on the full screen mode button if the text in the video is too small — lower-right in the video box).
