JOHN PILGER: U.S. HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IS PRIMITIVE AND OTHER MATTERS OF TRUTH
John Pilger has been a hero for decades. I remember when his films were actually shown on American TV. Can you imagine? The fascists moved to stop that though. If you watch the videos above, you'll surely understand why.
John is absolutely right that right now more than ever in the history of human kind, the common people are on the cusp of seeing through the vast conspiracy that is perception management foisted upon them in all venues. It's a brilliant observation that unfortunately, as is her style, Amy Goodman doesn't pause on for effect. Amy, bless her heart, will occasionally give a "hmm" here and there; but she has her list of questions and will hit at least the most chosen even while missing the golden opportunities to drive home the major, major, major grand-slam points of some of her most enlightened and brave guests, such as John Pilger, as shown in the videos.
I don't know all of John's views on Christ. I have yet to meet the man or woman who will walk all the way to Jesus with me, but I find John's statements made in the above videos very nearly flawless. I wouldn't even be surprised to learn that John is a pacifist at heart and doesn't believe in coercive government at all, although he may (which would be a disappointment).
John wrote on his site for instance:
These are extraordinary times. Blair, a perpetrator of the epic crime of the 21st century, shares a "prayer breakfast" with President Obama, the yes-we-can-man now launching more war. "We pray," said Blair, "that in acting we do God's work and follow God's will." To decent people, such pronouncements about Blair's "faith" represent a contortion of morality and intellect that is a profanation on the basic teachings of Christianity. Those who aided and abetted his great crime and now wish the rest of us to forget their part - or, like Alistair Campbell, his "communications director", offer their bloody notoriety for the vicarious pleasure of some – might read the first indictment proposed by the Blair War Crimes Foundation: "Deceit and conspiracy for war, and providing false news to incite passions for war, causing in the order of one million deaths, 4 million refugees, countless maiming and traumas."
These are indeed extraordinary times. (Source: "JohnPilger.com. April 1, 2009.)," by John Pilger.
He knows Jesus better than do Blair, Bush, or Obama.
