TRADES UNION CONGRESS (TUC) PARALLELS TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (TIFF) OVER APARTHEID ISRAEL

See the parallels in the decision of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and that of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

  • Celebrating Johannesburg during Apartheid would have pleased the racists.
  • Targeting exports from settlements/colonies and not from supporters of Apartheid Israel in Israel is compartmentalization in the extreme.

That said, economic sanctions and such are only the lesser of evils. We all need to aim higher.
