Tom Usher wrote or added | "...the religious extremists embedded among those on board were paid and equipped to attack Israelis — both by their own hands as well as by aiding Hamas — and to destroy any hope of peace." The destruction of "peace" in this person's view is to not allow the Zionists to do anything they want to the Gazans. Well, the Zionist have never been "peaceful." They went to Palestine with wicked, violent intensions. Anyone who can't see that is an idiot and immoral.
"Millions have already seen the Al Jazeera broadcast showing these "activists" chanting "Khaibar! Khaibar!"— a reference to a Muslim massacre of Jews in the Arabian peninsula in the seventh century." So what? The Texans say, "Remember the Alamo" even though they didn't win that one. How many Jewish war victories are commemorated in Israel? The Bible is loaded with them, some of them complete genocide. Haven't Zionists been puffed up about their military on account of the 1967 war and other wars – wars the Zionists started? So, the Jews lost, and the Muslims remember and shout it out to psych themselves up. I don't agree with violence; but the kettle shouldn't call the pot black, and Zionism is the kettle here.
"YouTube viewers saw Israeli troops, armed with crowd-dispersing paintball guns and side arms for emergency protection, being beaten and hurled over the railings of the ship by attackers wielding iron bars." YouTube viewers saw Israeli storm troopers swooping in and resulting in at least 9 people dead, some shot multiple times (perhaps all) and at close range with zero deaths on the Zionist side. If I had been there and had been bent upon Zionists dying, there would have been dead Zionists. Millions of men, tens of millions of men, know exactly what I'm saying and could say it for themselves about themselves. Any metal rods could have been used to skewer Zionists and would have been had the passengers been so desirous of killing IDF members.
"What the videos don't show, however, are several curious aspects Israeli authorities are now investigating. First, about 100 of those detained from the boats were carrying immense sums in their pockets — nearly a million euros in total. Second, Israel discovered spent bullet cartridges on the Mavi Marmara that are of a caliber not used by the Israeli commandos, some of whom suffered gunshot wounds. Also found on the boat were propaganda clips showing passengers "injured" by Israeli forces; these videos, however, were filmed during daylight, hours before the nighttime operation occurred."
None of this can be verified by outside, independent sources. Zionists are some of the biggest liars on the planet, so who's just going to buy into these stories? So people had lots of cash, what's wrong with that? People in Gaza need cash. So, where's the cash now, stolen? Return it. As for spent cartridges, who put the famous "magic bullet [update]" on the surgery rolling-stretcher? Anyone could have planned ahead to seed an area or to just lie about having found the cartridges. Also, maybe the cartridges were from a different time and event. Also, Israelis certainly could have been hit by so-called "friendly fire." As for the "daylight" videos, show them.
The most important thing though is that Zionism never had a right to Palestine, not the way Zionism was formed and not with the way it handled itself.
"There is little doubt as to the real purpose of the Mavi Marmara's voyage — not to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, but to create a provocation that would put international pressure on Israel to drop the Gaza embargo, and thus allow the flow of seaborne military supplies to Hamas. Just as Hamas gunmen hide behind civilians in Gaza, so, too, do their sponsors cower behind shipments of seemingly innocent aid." Well, even if that were true, which I don't buy, you should have thought about that before you stole their lands. More pointedly though, the Goldstone Report and reports of the most respected NGO's all said that it was exactly the other way around. It was the IDF that used Palestinians as human shields and not Hamas. You should be too ashamed to show your face, but you have no conscience!
"This is why the organizers of the flotilla repeatedly rejected Israeli offers to transfer its cargo to Gaza once it was inspected for military contraband." Now, that's not true at all. If Israel had been allowing in all the things the Gazans really need, there would never have been a Gaza Freedom Flotilla.
"Their cargoes, after proper inspection, were delivered to non-Hamas institutions in Gaza." Lie! The Zionists picked only what the Zionist wanted to deliver. They did not deliver much-needed cement for reconstruction after the illegal attack on Gaza that left well over a thousand dead with hundreds of those being mere children.
Also, calling IHH linked to Islamic extremists is more of the same kettle calling the pot black. In this instance, there is no evidence that IHH is doing anything other than working to break the illegal, immoral siege of Gaza.
"The real intent of breaking the embargo is to allow rockets to be transported to Gaza from Hamas's suppliers in Syria and Iran. Israel has already intercepted several such ships laden with munitions. Since Israel's disengagement from Gaza in 2005, Hamas has fired more than 10,000 rockets and mortars at our civilian population. This week, two Hamas rockets exploded near Ashkelon, one of Israel's largest cities." The Hamas rockets don't "explode," unless they have new technology all of a sudden. Of the rockets that were fired, how many came as a direct result of Israeli aggression against Gaza? We all know that it was Israel that broke the ceasefire and wasn't abiding by the agreement to allow a normal flow of goods.
"Israel has a right and a duty to defend itself from Hamas and its backers." No it doesn't. Israel has a right to repent and atone and come to an immediate agreement with Hamas to turn the whole area into a decent place to live for everyone, Jew and Arab side-by-side as good neighbors in one state.
"Our struggle is not with the people of Gaza but only with the radical regime that overthrew the legitimate Palestinian Authority..." Liar! The US and Israel funded and equipped Fatah and worked to convince Fatah to fight Hamas rather than staying united against the Zionists. Hamas was duly elected. The Zionists, who came to power by terrorism, refused to honor the free and fair election.
"Each day, Israel facilitates the passage into Gaza of more than 100 truckloads of food and medicine — there is no shortage of either." More than food and medicine is needed, and the Gazans aren't given the choices about what they want in the way of food, which is too high priced for them anyway because the Israelis make making a living all but impossible. Palestine was loaded with Palestinian farms and orchards until the Zionists swooped in like the predators that you are.
"We, too, want a free Gaza — a Gaza liberated from brutal Hamas rule...." The people of Gaza still choose Hamas.
"The real peace activists are those who support our vision of a two-state solution, not those supporting the terrorists bent on destroying it." You don't know "real peace activists." Real peace activists want Zionism over with. Zionism is evil and inherently violent. Zionism is coveting other people's land and doing whatever to get it. That's historical fact, and it's still ongoing. Zionists are still throwing people out of their ancestral homes in East Jerusalem even while Zionists whine and whine about the holocaust. Such hypocrisy is unparalleled in the annals of human kind.
You know, there's a new "denial." There's Nakba denial, and you, Michael B. Oren," are a lying, Nakba denier.
Zionism is disgusting and fit only for the dung heap and not even the one good for fertilizer.
The following should appear at the end of every post:
According to the IRS, "Know the law: Avoid political campaign intervention":
Tax-exempt section 501(c)(3) organizations like churches, universities, and hospitals must follow the law regarding political campaigns. Unfortunately, some don't know the law.
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are prohibited from participating in any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. The prohibition applies to campaigns at the federal, state and local level.
Violation of this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes. Section 501(c)(3) private foundations are subject to additional restrictions.
Political Campaign Intervention
Political campaign intervention includes any activities that favor or oppose one or more candidates for public office. The prohibition extends beyond candidate endorsements.
Contributions to political campaign funds, public statements of support or opposition (verbal or written) made by or on behalf of an organization, and the distribution of materials prepared by others that support or oppose any candidate for public office all violate the prohibition on political campaign intervention.
Factors in determining whether a communication results in political campaign intervention include the following:
- Whether the statement identifies one or more candidates for a given public office
- Whether the statement expresses approval or disapproval of one or more candidates' positions and/or actions
- Whether the statement is delivered close in time to the election
- Whether the statement makes reference to voting or an election
- Whether the issue addressed distinguishes candidates for a given office
Many religious organizations believe, as we do, that the above constitutes a violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
That said, we make the following absolutely clear here:
- The Real Liberal Christian Church and Christian Commons Project not only do not endorse any candidate for any secular office, we say that Christianity forbids voting in such elections.
- Furthermore, when we discuss any public-office holder's position, policy, action or inaction, we definitely are not encouraging anyone to vote for that office holder's position.
- We are not trying to influence secular elections but rather want people to come out from that entire fallen system.
- When we analyze or discuss what is termed "public policy," we do it entirely from a theological standpoint with an eye to educating professing Christians and those to whom we are openly always proselytizing to convert to authentic Christianity.
- It is impossible for us to fully evangelize and proselytize without directly discussing the pros and cons of public policy and the positions of secular-office holders, hence the unconstitutionality of the IRS code on the matter.
- We are not rich and wouldn't be looking for a fight regardless. What we cannot do is compromise our faith (which seeks to harm nobody, quite the contrary).
- We render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. We render unto God what is God's.
- When Caesar says to us that unless we shut up about the unrighteousness of Caesar's policies and practices, we will lose the ability of people who donate to us to declare their donations as deductions on their federal and state income-tax returns, we say to Caesar that we cannot shut up while exercising our religion in a very reasonable way.
- We consider the IRS code on this matter as deliberate economic duress (a form of coercion) and a direct attempt by the federal government to censor dissenting, free political and religious speech.
- It's not freedom of religion if they tax it.
And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. (Matthew 17:24-26)
