FT.com / Middle East - Israelis fear cultural boycott

Tom Usher wrote or added | Well, this article severely understates the impact. The fact that entertainers and such are changing their minds about Israel, sends a signal to the world that it's okay to be Western and anti-fascist — anti-Zionist. The more people who do it, the more other people will do it. It will spread from "cultural" boycotts to all the other things. City, counties, and states in the US along with national and local governments around the world, will rethink their business contracts with the Israeli government and with Israeli businesses. Corporations will begin to question the future of Israel in terms of whether investing there makes sense — whether there will be too much turmoil and hardship due to growing demands that Israel get out of Palestine. Socially responsible investing now includes not investing in the racist, apartheid, war-criminal "state" of Israel. Israeli stocks and bonds will be damaged due to Israeli thickheadedness.

Wake up, Israel. Your dreaming has cause the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza nightmares, and it's now coming back to haunt you.
