If Nilin can see its way clear to making a formal and binding statement that it would not institute sharia upon becoming free of the Zionists, it would go a long way in reducing whatever suspicions people might harbor who are sitting on the fence concerning the whole conflict.
Make no mistake about it. I am fervently anti-Zionist but not ethnically bigoted.
I am though opposed to coercive theocracy.
The village of Ni'lin is mounting a courageous and determined fight to show that we will never be defeated. Yesterday (14th January) saw another demonstration against the annexation wall. This was a very emotional day for the people of Ni'lin. Each demonstration lacks those special few who died for our cause. Yesterday another loss was remembered during the protest. (Ahmed mousa 10 years old, yousef amireh 17 years old, muhammed khawaja 18 years old, arafat khawaja 22 years old and Aqil srour 36 years old) The people of our land will never go down, no matter how many of us they kill.
