Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood now reportedly says they will run someone for President of Egypt afteral, even after having said repeatedly that they would not.
I thought it was a good idea that they not. Now that they've gone back on their word, all they've done is show a greater lack of trustworthiness.
Look, things change, and everyone can't do everything that he or she may have once said he or she would do. There are circumstances that are just beyond people's control, but the Muslim Brotherhood doesn't have that excuse here.
They should have settled down to do the hard work of a legislature and done that regardless of the next President.
This decision of theirs doesn't bode well for Egypt. It feeds right into the lines of their harshest critics and rightly so.
