It appears that the UN is forcing Francis to address homosexuality when the press should have been doing that all along.
While also noting as positive the progressive statement delivered in July 2013 by Pope Francis, the Committee is concerned about the Holy See's past statements and declarations on homosexuality which contribute to the social stigmatization of and violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender adolescents and children raised by same sex couples.
Pedophiles are already farther along in being accepted than were homosexuals when I was a boy.
At this rate, how many generations will it take before Caligula is the President of the World? Trajectory.
What will it take to stop it? It isn't going to stop simply because people today don't believe people will allow things to get that bad. That's what people thought 40 years ago about being "tolerant" of homosexuality.
They never imagined that homosexual marriage would be even entertained, let alone voted in whether by the people or their representatives. So when you say to yourselves and others that thus and so won't happen if what I call the slippery slope is where you are walking, just remember your words when you are bewildered at how much more degraded society has become relative to now (which I consider very degraded and getting worse but you think is headed in a perfectly acceptable direction).
Pope Francis will have no choice but to openly state that homosexuality has been, is, and will always be, a sin.
