A fascist court in Ecuador orders arrest of Brussels-based ex-president Correa

The results were a win for Moreno in his struggle with Correa, who during his term launched vigorous reforms, boosted social spending, curbed oil firms' profits and suspended some debt payments that he considered illegitimate.

That wording is intentionally insufficient and crafted to make Correa's tenure sound neutral at best. Correa greatly lowered poverty while greatly increasing health, safety, education, and even the environment in the oil-dependent nation. The economy was also greatly strengthened. You see, the truth is deliberately left out of the AFP article because the AFP is way too neoliberal so the AFP can make money off the Western-plutocrats' global system.
