The war in Syria was started by the West paying snipers to shoot at both sides

This statement is hogwash:

More than 350,000 people have been killed and millions displaced since Syria's war started in 2011 with a brutal crackdown on anti-government protests.

The war started when Western-paid snipers started shooting at both sides during the protests, just as happened in Kiev.
