It is clear that the US government is incapable of transitioning to being a cooperative member of the global community and putting in place a peace budget, one that draws back the US military presence and invests in constructive programs.
It's clear the status quo is incapable, but those who ARE capable can take over.
Where I disagree with the article concerns compromise. Compromising has doomed every progressive movement in history. I'm speaking about domestic economics, not compromising to avoid war. We should not threaten war to get our way, to get what we want domestically to be spread globally. We can, however, be an example to the world and to help the world without coercion (or being coerced).
We could become the hub of the new empire of real peace and sustainable prosperity for all.
