D’Souza said he thinks the most shocking moment in the film is when a group of senior Nazis is shown sitting around a table and drafting the Nuremberg Laws using the Jim Crow laws drafted by Democrats, which enforced racial segregation in the South.
“This is a historical fact,” he said. “And the senior Nazis look at each other, and they basically say to each other, ‘These Democratic laws are too racist even for us.’”
The entire context there is twisted. Those racist Democrats have since switched to the Republican Party. It's that simple. They were called Dixiecrats and were drawn into the Republican Party playing the race card in what was called the Southern Strategy.
