What a joke: 'Put Putin in his place', Ukrainian ambassador tells Germany

I'm pretty sure Angela Merkel will say things that "support" the US position but won't be fooled into completely toeing the line. In fact, the entire incident is all the more reason for Germany to have a pipeline directly from Russia.

"Put Putin in his place" is easy for the Ukrainian ambassador to say. Germany knows Russia isn't to be thumped around endlessly. Angela Merkel knows full well that the majority of Germans right now trust Russia more than they trust the US and with good reason.

By the way, most of what's in the US mainstream media is designed to propagandize Americans, not Germans. The Germans stopped a long time ago simply taking US narratives as the Gospel.
