Bible-thumping Venezuelan fascist lauded by the Associated Press

"Freedom is something intrinsic to our common humanity — it's not enough to just have a roof over year head, a bed and food," he says. "That's helped me understand why communism goes against human nature. ... As the Bible says, 'Man doesn't live on bread alone.'"

What an ignoramus one has to be to read the Bible, the New Testament, and come away from it with such utterly twisted notions. It's either that or he actually knows he's spewing twisted garbage and is only doing it to twist people's minds in to supporting fascism over participatory democracy and economic democracy in Venezuela.

Communism simply means living as a completely giving and sharing community rather than as a community headed up by the greedy. That's all there is to it. Naturally, Jesus was completely in favor of it. Any child could tell you that. Man doesn't live by bread alone is followed by: but by every word that comes from God. Jesus told us the two great commandments.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Are the greedy loving everyone as they love their own greedy selves? Hardly!

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2:15-20 KJV)

Where are the greedy taking care to give to the poor those things which are needful to the body? All they do is fight against doing so. That's what Freddy Guevara wants for Venezuela.
