Clark (Nelson Clark, Pastor, First Century Gospel) told The Inquirer last month that the children died because of a "spiritual lack" on the part of their parents (Herbert and Catherine Schaible).

When asked Wednesday in an interview if he was concerned that he could be arrested, Clark said: "The thought crosses my mind, of course, because the buck stops somewhere. But I can't stop preaching what I think is the truth from the Bible."

District Attorney Williams said that the murder charges against the Schaibles should be a lesson to the First Century church members.

They lost a second son to the same thing. Why didn't their prayers heal them? Their pastor says it was a lack of spirit on the parents' part. Many others will take it for granted that prayers are always useless, that there is no God, no healing spirit, etc. Yet, such deaths are rarely reported in the news. There are many children in the families that are members of Pastor Clark's First Century Gospel Church. How is it that there haven't been more deaths of children in that congregation over the years?

Something was clearly wrong for the Schaibles. What was it? Why didn't death passover and leave the little boys alone? Why does death have a foothold amongst us? If you're a materialist, you'll scoff at the questions.

If such lack of faith spreads through society and hinders healing, then it wouldn't be the Schaibles who murdered their son but the anti-spiritual materialists and others who bring forth evil who caused it.

What are believing parents to do in the face of such a society and such government?

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. (Mark 6:2-11)

Even though Jesus did and his disciples whom he sent out did, the Schaibles lacked the power over the unclean spirits (infections in their sons). Why didn't they know that and act as those without such power typically act, take their son(s) to medical doctors? Why didn't their pastor know it? They held out, and their sons died. Did the Holy Spirit tell them, "Don't take your child to a doctor"?

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (John 16:7-15)

Spiritual healing doesn't work not because there is no such thing as spiritual healing that works but because there is so much sin in this world. Even Jesus didn't heal them where there was much sin and disbelief; and there is more sin and disbelief now than there was then, much, much more and rapidly getting worse. There shall be much weeping and gnashing of teeth on account of it. People will shake their fists at God rather than looking in the mirror.

Yes, a tornado hit Oklahoma. Oklahoma has many residents who say they are Christians. However, what sin is there in amongst them? What sinning are they doing? What are they feeling, thinking, saying, and doing that runs exactly against what Jesus teaches? Taking their children to doctors isn't one of them, not until they've removed the logs from their eyes. Do they make war? Did Jesus teach his disciples to take up those kinds of swords? He did not!

So when the atheists and war-makers are passed over by death and survive, remember that Jesus said our Father in heaven makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Also remember that it shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment than for those atheists who sin because they believe not on Jesus Christ. It's proper.

There is nothing wrong in Jesus's teaching. The Great Separation is salvation, deliverance. Hallelujah! Praise God! The greedy, war-making, depraved, lying prince of this world is judged.
